Guest guest
What you really have to look at aside from the numerous other issues with vaccines is if the risk is worth it if the vaccines do not protect. Why take the chance if you can still get it anyway ....... this is a study from the JAMA about vaccine failure rates http://jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/content/full/284/18/2334 you can read the whole thing if youd like but what sticks out to me is that while they are trying to calculate a failure rate they are admitting that more kids who were vaccinated got hib and were considered as vaccine failure than the unvaccinated population. The figures dont even include vaccinated children who got hib, only the ones they considered were vaccine failure (they had a whole list of criteria for that .... like only if it occured more than 2 weeks after vaccine. TVF means total vaccine failure ..... RESULTS Clinical Hib Disease During the 6-year, 5-month period between October 1, 1992, and March 1, 1999, 112 TVFs and 58 apparent vaccine failures were reported to the study. There were 7 possible vaccine failures. In the 3-year, 4- month period between November 1, 1995, and March 1, 1999, 39 cases of invasive Hib disease were reported in unvaccinated children. EVEN IF YOU DONT INCLUDE THE POSSIBLE VACCINE FAILURES AND YOU DOUBLE THE HIB CASES IN UNVACCINATED BECAUSE THEY WERE OBSERVED FOR ABOUT HALF THE TIME YOU HAVE ...... 170 CASES OF VACCINE FAILURE AND 78 CASES OF HIB INFECTION IN THE UNVACCINATED SO OUT OF THEIR OWN MOUTH YOUR TWICE AS LIKELY TO EXPERIENCE HIB AND HIB VACCINE FAILURE THAN YOU ARE TO CONTRACT HIB IF YOUR UNVACCINATED! Guest guest
Yes, this is the most important point that most parents take a long time coming to. I know I did. We all know there are risks to getting vaccines, but start off believing there's still a tradeoff somewhere. There isn't. There is not one benefit. Once you come to this realization, everything else about vaccines is moot.
