Guest guest
Good Afternoon I hope everyone is doing as well as possible and you've been able to enjoy some spring weather. My name is Cathleen. Many of us have talked before, when I worked for Dr. Zuckerman at CPR for Women and Families. I am currently working at Strategies. You may know Suzanne , who has worked on the breast implant issue for quite some time. We are working with the press to place stories about health problems and breast implants. This work will be quite aggressive between now and the end of June. Would you be willing to share your story in the interest of helping other women? If not, do you know someone who would? Can you please reply to this email, answering a few questions? Here's what I need to know: 1. What manufacturer made your implants? 2. What year did you get your implants? 3. What year did you start having problems? Would you please share some information about these problems? 4. What city and state do you live in? Many thanks to all of you for sharing your experiences. It's very important that other women know that they are not alone, and that the next generation understands the risks breast implants can pose to their health. Please feel free to send any questions you might have. My email address is cathleen@.... If you can help, you'll hear from me, or my colleague Warner. Best wishes, Cathleen Witter Strategies 1920 I Street NW Washington DC, 20006 (202) 466-9633
Guest guest
Cathleen, Hi! I would be happy to answer your questions however, I still haven't had them removed so I can't supply you with any information on recovery (if any). I intend of having the explant surgery performed by Dr. Melmed in June. I will help you as much as possible because this is an issue that can no longer be ignored by the medical community. Women need to be told the truth when considering this ELECTIVE surgery. Had I known the possible risks, I would have never chosen to go through with the surgery. After all, that is why I declined silicone filled implants ( I was eligible for them due to having a breast lift as well). I was aware of the "class action suit" and therefore was afraid of silicone but not the "safe" saline!!! The following are answers to the questions listed: 1. Mentor (smooth high profile saline) 2. 2002 3. 2004, after giving birth to my first child. My symptoms include, severe muscle/joint aches & stiffness, swollen, red/purple, cold hands & feet, shooting pains in legs, hurting ribs (feels like there bruised), tight skin on hands/feet, fatigue, shortness of breath, overall weakness and constant flu like feeling. I have been diagnosed with scleroderma. 4. Staten Island, New York You may email me directly if you have any further questions at, Crystalcampitiello@... Hope this helps, Crystal BI Media attention--Can you help?--please contact Cathleen Good Afternoon I hope everyone is doing as well as possible and you've been able to enjoy some spring weather.
