Guest guest
Hello! I wanted to pipe in here, as I've seen SO many posts saying to skip the well visits, and just do it at home. I couldn't agree more....When we took our 2 year old in for his 2 year check up (I was about to give birth to our 2nd at that point), he was healthy as ever, never vaxxed, took him home, and he got sick from being there! That was it for me, and our next, never went for a check up. I birthed them at home, and had attended home birth many times, so I knew about weighing at home already. I bought my own baby scale online, and checked mom for growth charts, she has one for formula fed and breastfed babies! Something you won't find at the doctor. Anyway, I've seen these comments, and wanted to give a little info to help those who might be wondering HOW?? http://www.homebirthsupplies.com/html/tanitascale.html for baby scales www.kellymom.com for charts and other info for doing it yourself. www.1cascade.com also has birth supplies We've sucessfully gone 3 years without any check ups, and ONLY once I've NEEDED to go to a doc, for my youngest, to check a swollen hand/arm from bee sting, but of course, it resolved on it's own, (after benadryl, unfortunately) and I was given a prescrip for antibiotics!!! INSANE......needless to say, a wasted trip, (ripped that paper up) but trying to be on the cautious side anyway....(it's a mom thing, right?!).... but I've charted their teeth, and weights and heights and other milestones in their baby books, just the same. You really don't need measurements to tell you your child is healthy, and growing fine. That's what your instincts are for! ~Cassie~ http://hyenacart.com/canyonriverherbals http://canyonandriversday.blogspot.com " We must be the change we want to see happen in the world " ~Ghandi
