Cricket, I read your post about your friend, and all I have to say

Is YES, this is an autoimmune reaction. I DEFINATLY belive it is the

implants. My cousin has CHRONES disease(an autoimmune disorder), and

has those 'open sores'on her legs. Her's were really bad, red and

ozzing/puss open sores. The Dr.s said this was an 'autoimmune

reaction. I have not seen her in a few years. I know lotsa people

with chrones disease, and do not have sores. But she does, as it is

linked to 'autoimmune disease'. (By the way, the autoimmune disease

is from my Uncle's side of the family who is realated via marrige,

there is NO autoimmune in my family, and I have CFS, FMS...hmmmmmm.)

It makes me so sad that there are SO many woman with implants with

all these autoimmune type symptoms and reactions, and yet the FDA,

and most surgeons still deny it. Guess it is 'easy' for the implant

companys because all these 'strange' symptoms crop up, and then they

give us 'wastebasket', sometimes untreatable diagnosis'. How

convinent for them. I do believe the TRUTH will make a break thru

someday, not too far into the future either. I am seeing this site

grow, and in my heart, I feel the 'truth' will be near, as there

will just be way too many woman who are sick.

Sorry to go off the subject. I pray your friend gets some help

I agree with you 100% here. I have NO HISTORY OF ANY AUTOIMMUNE

DISEAS IN MY FAMIL ANYWHERE. NO ONE. So when they asked me that

question all the time they were barking up the wrong tree! ha! The

truth does seem to be spreading so I think you could be right, maybe

it will come out soon. Wouldn't it be awesome to hear it and finally

be validated. I pray that day comes before I die.

The wierdest thing about (off topic sorry) the whole implant thing

with warnings and that type of stuff. When my sister and I were going

on consults for PS's and stuff, she was still married to her second

husband ( he passed away after they divorced) her sister in law was

trying to talk Patti (my sis) out of the implants. She told Patti's

husband to tell Patti not do it because it would make her sick. In

fact it is ironic because we both just shrugged it off. She had been

terribly ill, Patti's husband(his name was Cody) said that he was

still living with his parents at the time his sister got silicone gel

implants and that he believed her because he was with her through all

that time and she could barely get out of bed, anyhow she got the

implants out and got better. Both Patti and I , of course, assumed

that because they were gel is why she got sick, she stressed to

Cody,my borther in law, that it was not because they were gel cause

they were not even leaking, but that it was the shell and that saline

were the same anyhow.

Well obviously Patti, nor I believed her, because I went ahead of got

the salines. You probably have all heard the story of why my sister

Patti did not get her salines when I did, due to her mamogram, but

eventually once that was cleared and after all I had been through,

implant, illness, explant, returned health, and after I moved 2

states away and Patti was still hung up on her breasts and influenced

by all her friends telling her to just " do it " and " go for it " and

blah blah blah, I guess that was enough to push her over the edge and

not only get them, but GEL OF ALL THINGSS! I still am so surprised,

NO SHOCKED rather, that she got gels. I mean knowing my sister and

what a worry wart she always was about her health, it just amazes me.

She was SO manipulated by the PS and by her friends who are all

supposedly fine. I tried explaining to her that the PS will tell her

exactly what she wants to hear anything to sell her those implants(He

is the supposed best PS in the bay area and expensive as hell) he

told her that his own wife had the EXACT SAME GEL IMPLANTS and was

happy and looked fantastic, in fact she even came and showed her how

wonderful they looked and let her feel how soft and real they felt. I

am sure that helped sell her on it, and then all those girls at the

gym with their happy implant stories. I tried again to tell Patti

that the sick women are probably not gonna be at the gym, or else if

those who are at the gym have issues they probably are not going to

run around talking about their back pain or head aches or whatever

othe shit they have wrong with them oh man I can go on and on of

course about this cause frankly it ticks me off that she was so

pushed into getting them. But she new what I went through and so she

knows the facts. Her PS even had the nerve to admit that yeah it was

possible that i had gotten a reaction, as he called it, to those

implants but that it was so rare that her chances of getting sick

were practically zero. What were the odds it would happen twice in

his opinion none. He convinced her that I must have more allergies

that her and that maybe that was why i got sick, I had to laugh at

that because I never had any allergies. When I asked my mmom what

allergies did they all think I had she said that I was allergic to

jewelry, yah that is true fake crappy jewlery gives me a rah, but

other than that I never had any damn allergies, she brought up

something about when I got a rash from some latex gloves, and I told

her that was not an allergy it was from wearing gloves and washing my

hands with harsh soap everytime I took care of my 18 patients in my

unit at the nursing home I worked in(my first job as a CNA) haha. It

never happened again after that.

So anyhow what is my point here besides another little rant hee hee.

Basically what a crock of shit the whole thing is/was with my sister

and other women, what crap they are all being fed because they want

boobs and these damn PS's will say anything to make you feel safe and

comfy and in the best hands of course. IT MAKES ME ILL. This guy is

MR wonderful to all these women. My mom says that if you go to that

shop where Patti works(she is a hairdresser) all they talk about all

freaking day is their boobs, their face lifts, their dermabrasion,

botox, ya da yada yada

it get really sickening.

anyhow I think I have ranted enough for all of us today, as you can

see I still have some issues with my sister, however you all would be

very proud of me to know that I have made ammends to her for how mean

I was when I figured it all out(they all thought she could hide it

from me hee hee me the implant expert) anyhow that is eough of my big

mouth today on this issue.
