Guest guest
It's a quiet day at home so I decided to call Dr Blais and get his opinions on implants, etc. I think the world of this man. He is so intelligent and kind. He still has boxes and boxes of implants, so he hasn't had time to get to mine yet. We got into a discussion of who gets sick,etc.. He kind of freaked me out by asking, " Are you fair skinned? Yep. Do you have blue eyes? Yep. Blonde? Yep again. He said I was in the group that usually gets sick the most. He said don't worry though, there is another group worse than you. I asked which one and he said redheads with freckles! He said some chemical companies have known about this genetic makeup for years, and they purposely won't hire someone with my genetic makeup because they get sick so quickly. He also told me that women with the salines tend to get sick very quickly, although the typical onset is about 4 years. I had all the symptoms of someone at the 4 year mark. We talked about my neurologial problems and he said the numbness and tingling was just so typical, they see so much of it. He basically explained to me that when you put the implant in, it creates a pocket, and then you have dead tissue which is reabsorbed into the body. It's comparable to having two large absesses in your body and he said scientists have been studying absesses and damage from them since WWI. All in all it was so interesting to talk to him. He told me I could expect a 85-90% recovery, maybe better depending on the muscle and tissue damage and how well the nerves repair. After I got off the phone with him I reflected on what a big scam the implant business is, how many groups are involved in keeping them on the market, etc. And then you have this small group like Dr Blais working so hard and putting their careers on the line to help us. :)Beth
