Guest guest
I would also add that due to the proof of lowered immunity as shown with your ANA, you are at a higher risk for cancer, as the recent National Cancer Institute NCI put out, that women with breast implants are at a higher increase of cancer, up to three times with certain cancers. Send that study, they are highly respected. Try to get a normal Doc to write a letter of medical neccessity, too, Show him studies. Like get that Neuro to write up a letter .That speaks BIG! And that keeping the implants would endanger your health further, and could impact the insurance company with even higher bills to pay in the years to come , if you dont get them removed/ Show studies here on our site that shows improvment in women that get them removed to correlate. My company doesnt normally cover it, but voted on mine after several letters ,and approved it, after I sent like over 30 pages of blood work, mri's, doctors letters ,ect (proof of ilness) and then correlating many articlea and studies and commments by Docs and others to tie it in. I got mine covered, yes-saline smooth breast implants for cosmetic purposes. If you sound very knowledgable, and have alot of info, they will be more worried that you may pursue a lawyer, and know your stuff. Iworked on what I sent off for three weeks.Make it very professional. Wait and do it right. Hope that helps. >From: "bethlakey" <bethlakey@...> >Reply- > >Subject: help, my insurance called me >Date: Wed, 02 Jun 2004 19:41:11 -0000 > >ok everyone, > >My insurance company just called me. Guest guest
Beth: If you feel you're getting screwed, contact the Insurance Commisioner's Bureau in your state. I complained about an insurance company and within TWO WEEKS ALL MY CLAIMS GOT PAID!!! LMbethlakey <bethlakey@...> wrote: ok everyone,My insurance company just called me. I have my letter requesting reimbursement for surgery, Dr K's letter of medical necessity, a lab letter with my positive ANA on it, my hair analysis showing the high tin levels, and some of Dr K's letters on why en bloc is so critical, also MRI tests which were normal. I don't have copies of the audiology test or nerve conduction study, which were normal as well, but I can reference them and that the neurologist was unable to determine the cause of illness. I would like reimbursement for the portion which would have been covered by a contracted surgeon. Should I ask for that specifically? And advice is VERY appreciated. Thanks!Beth
