Guest guest
I answered this and then the post went away somewhere, has that ever happened to anyone else? Anyhow all I said was that I don't ever seem to have a bad reaction to anything I eat, sweets or carbs or whatever, so I feel it is ok. I mean I watch my weight most of all and if it goes up then I make sure to back off the bad food for a bit. I am usually a healthy eater but sometimes I just binge out. then I get on the bike and ride till I am sure I have burned it all off. hugs -C wrote: > : > A sweet everyday is good for you.I'm dubious of any diet that says no sugar at all-- unless you have a medical condition. > I've read chocolate is a type of antioxidant. So eat a natural piece of chocolate every day(a good brand without the funky chemicals in it).If you want a semi-healthy yet sweet dessert, consider a milk shake with hormone free/ fat free milk and two scoops of natural low fat ice cream plain ice cream or strawberries, or any fruit blended up with it. At least this way you're taking care of your sweet tooth, and giving your body protein and calcium. > Who says treating yourself can't be a win-win situation? > It's all in eating sweets in moderation and one's with good ingredient in them. > LM > > naturalbeauty38 <naturalbeauty38@y...> wrote: > I agree that diets are not good for our bodies, or hair, nails etc. I > try to eat good, and usually don't have any problems getting enough > of things like protein, good carbs and oils. Guest guest
I had a sweet tooth, until I found I had myco and severe yeast, and had to cut alll sugars foir over a year, now I dont crave them at all.....I do agree with the natural chocalate, I have small amounts about twice a week. I think more for the chocolate though, not the sweet. But none other than that. I dont like the taste anymore. Sugar is no good for you, besides. >From: "naturalbeauty38" <naturalbeauty38@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Hair Loss--To >Date: Fri, 28 May 2004 15:03:31 -0000 > > I tried a low fat diet once and > > after about a month my hair was > > > coming out in huge clumps. Guest guest
I am sorry that you cannot tolerate sugar. I know that sugar is not that great for you, but I don't feel bad about eating it once in awhile and it isn't making me sick so I am not going to stress about it. If someone has a birthday I eat a piece of cake and if someone brings a box of yummy chocolate to work I do not deprive myself. The other night I had a slice of apple pie. I don't have a weight problem and I don't get sick from it so I really dont see what the big deal is if I want a little sugar. I drink caffiene too and I am sure that is terrible also. Life is too short to give up everything, and the way I see it is moderation is the key. I understand that all of us are at different places in our recovery and I am not going to tell everyone that they should eat sugar. Just that I don't think it is going to kill me and frankly if I deprive myself of things I end up setting myself up for a binge in the future. - In , " JOSEPH PALANCA " <juliejp61@m...> wrote: >
Guest guest
Oh, I agree. Not one glove for all. Its just not good for me. And I dont even care for the taste! So its not a problem. Birthday cake? Yuck, too sweet!I just dont like it., Mercola sees that all the time, patients never wanting it again, once off it for a while, and I was one of them. Once I got it out of the system, its been better overall. It is very hard on the body for auto immune patients, and any type of metabolic disorder, like thyroid, estogen dominance, diabetits. As the insulin surges and throws off alot of hormones, and lowers immunity, It is also very hard on the thyroid and pancreas. I stay away from all high glycemic ,as you know. Pasta, wheat, bread sugar, even carrots! Carrots surge your insulin more than some candies! So that is just what I do. And i eat great. Feel great too, If cutting sugar out makes others well, so be it. If it doesnt affect you, then dont look back. We are all differnt. Mercolas first thing, is if you are ill, no sugar. He has helped thousands of patients with this being in his plan. But like i said, if it doesnt affect you, then dont worry about it. Also, I wont be having so many problems with my weight anymore. I have lost 7 pounds total on the Fat Flush, and on my new thyroid meds in the last 2 months . I am getting back finally to my old me. Work out is the same, so is diet. I just needed to detox and go on the right hormones. That pig thyroid was not working for me. Im so glad I went in a second opinion afterbeing on that crap for two years. So ill be posting some new pics in a few months, hopefully closer of the old me, toned and in shape again, like I should be- with all the working out and good eating I feel like I forever do. Its been lot of hard work and somedays feels like I never had a pay off for it. Not no more! implants realy did a number on my metabolism.Took a while, but Im getting there, and guess what? I can sweat again! >From: "naturalbeauty38" <naturalbeauty38@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Hair Loss--To >Date: Fri, 28 May 2004 16:37:10 -0000 > > I am sorry that you cannot tolerate sugar. Guest guest
I am glad your finally losing weight, that is awesome! I never gained weight with my illness, but I don't think I ever really had a true illness, other than my elevated ANA I think I got sparred because I did not have them that long, and even Dr Blaise said compared to most my implants were pretty clean inside. I think I just had a strong reaction to the shell. Since explant I have gotten well fast, so I believe that is the truth. I wish I could just say oh, I hate sweets, or will never eat them again, but since I know for a fact that is not going to happen I have learned to manage them, and my cravings for them (not all food cravings stem from candida) and many of us are food addicts. I am sure i am an addict in food as I was in other areas, like the smoking. The smoking was easier to give up than the food though, hee hee. anyhow I like to eat what I want, I love carrotts too, just ate a bunch of em yesterday. I cannot believe a carrott can be bad for you, but hey everyone has an opinion. I personally believe that my diet is working for me, and being that I have been the same size for 7 years I trust that I am able to maintain my weight by eating sensibly. I liken the way I eat to the weight watchers plan, everything and basically anything, in moderation. It works, there is no need to stay away from some things or whatever, as long as you don't gorge. I quite smoking before my implant surgery, so it was back in 1999. I have not had a smoke since. If I can give it up anyone can. hugs <juliejp61@m...> wrote: >
