WHARF (Wockhardt Harvard Medical International HIV/AIDS Education and Research

Foundation) is an outcome of Philosophy of Wockhardt's participation in the

field of HIV/AIDS, with Harvard Medical International.

This association was launched as an education initiative towards Capacity

building and Training of the Direct Care Givers working in the area of HIV/AIDS.

WHARF through its various training programs has trained more than 2500 Care

Providers in the city of Mumbai in last one year and three months.

One such program called " Basic Training Program in HIV / AIDS " is

targeted to train Doctors, Counselors, Nurses and Paramedics. The next

batch of this program starts on 01 May 2004. WHARF invites registrations for

the same. The program consists of 1 full day classroom training and four

follow up sessions.

One day program will be held on 01 May 2004 and the follow up sessions will

be held on four consecutive Saturdays after 01 May 2004 between 2p.m. to 4p.m.

(details of the follow up will be explained on 01 May 2004)

One full day training will be conducted between - 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

We will be accommodating first 35 entries.

Copy of the Schedule of one-day program is attached. Details of four

follow up sessions will be provided on the day of the training program. The

food supplements and training material for the sessions will be provided

by WHARF.

Nominal registration fees of Rs. 300/- (Rupees Three Hundred Only) are

applicable. The registered candidates will be making the payment in cash to

WHARF officials on 01 May 04. The candidates will report at the said venue at

8:30a.m. on 01 May 04 for the proceedings.
