Guest guest
High levels of platinum was found in my blood, urine, hair, tissue and nails. Have you been tested for platinum Lynda? Platinum was also used in saline implants. Lynda wrote: Probably, mine was pretty heavy with platinum. Lynda At 12:49 PM 6/7/2004, you wrote: >The neurological problems seem to be pretty common. Guest guest
One woman, age 18, died 3 weeks after implant, she was in Vancouver, BC. Infection. A number of long-term saline women have died. I am sure the FDA has some stats on this. They had major fungal problems, but many had neurological symptoms. Auto-immune disease is as common with saline as with silicone. You can be as ill from saline as from silicone. We have had persons with Norplant with serious illness. Also with any other implantable silicone device. I don't keep track of who has what (over 10,000 women on my list), so I just remember the details about what happens. Guest guest
Yep, I know two women who's lives/endocrine health was destroyed by this crap. The London Times(1998) did an article on the safety issues of this device. Evidently many British women experienced bad side effects from this--including severe alopecia. I think they were seeking a ban in the UK. Upjohn-Pharmacia makes this poison but of course they tout this stuff as safe. Never trust reasearch done by the company that stands to profit. Depo provera shots are another bad drug.Lynda <coss@...> wrote: One woman, age 18, died 3 weeks after implant, she was in Vancouver, BC. Infection.A number of long-term saline women have died. Guest guest
No, when mine were removed (1990, second one, 1991), nobody ever thought about testing for those things. But I could not take any vitamins with any metals in them for years. No iron, zinc, etc. Some women were actually diagnosed with toxic porphyria, an illness that comes from high levels of toxic metals. I am sure I had some of that, but avoiding docs as I did kept me from wanting to be tested for a lot of stuff. We did find out later that Mentor Siltex, the year I had them, had high levels of platinum.
