,

I had a double lumen Mentor Siltex, after a mastectomy for cancer in Jan.

'90. It ruptured 3 1/2 months later, but was not taken out for 5 months,

and then my plastic surgeon left my chest full of silicone. That is what

almost killed me.

I did not take any anti-inflammatories. In fact, for years, I did not even

take a tylenol. I forced myself to not recognize the pain, and most of the

time I could make that work. It took a lot of energy.

I never took the pain pills people tried to give me, and I ripped up the

prescription for prednisone and plaquenil. I just could not see taking

this stuff.

So, I just detoxed, ate the right things, and tried to survive on hardly

any sleep. Finally I gave in and took the anti-depressant that helped me

sleep. Then, I actually began to see daylight.

I found out I was allergic to soy in the middle of all this, and it

probably is what put my thyroid over the edge.

I had severe digestive problems, so avoiding was the key for me. I had to

be careful what I ate.

Silicone is very damaging to the liver, and my cholesterol level soared

after the explant where I had so much silicone exposure.

A low thyroid will also boost your cholesterol count. I have that problem.

I don't think today I could do all this again, having done it and it having

taken so much out of me.

It is 11:45 P.M. here, so am going to bed very soon.

OK is a little better than I am, but I get by. I will always have problems

from what the implants did to me. After 12 years, I know this. But I am

better than I was, so for that I am grateful.

,

It was pure willpower (Will was my maiden name, ha ha), but today I don't

think I could do it again. The years have taken their toll.

But I was determined to fight without putting more toxins in my body.

It was the splitting headaches from the toxicity that caused me the most

problems, and I had them continually for over 1 1/2 years. Then the

fibromyalgia, which caused considerable pain. I remember curling up in bed

and crying from the pain.

The anti-depressants actually relieved some of that, and finally the

magnetic mattress helped enough to get me off the anti-depressants.
