Guest guest
I have sceduled an appointment for Sept. 7th, that is the soonest she had. Her consult fee is 125.00, the ultrasound I am getting is not silicone mapping, (?) but it is to look for silicone around the breasts and adjacent lympth nodes. this will cost $300.-400 dollars. A Dr. Leonard Kahn is their radiologist, who will do the ultrasound and give Dr. Feng the report. I do that at 11am and then go to Dr. Feng's at 12:30pm. She will talk with me and examine me for 1 and a half hours for $125.00 fee. I asked if I could not afford to have her do the removal of the silicone would she presnet soemthing to another surgeon and to my ins. co. She said Oh Yes! plus the other surgeon will have something to follow. I am going for it. She does not accept disability ins. or welfare ins., which I'm currently on. However, I'll use some of the disability money to get better. I'm sure I still have silicone around the area, under arm, and around that area. Not necessarily just the arm pit, down lower. The symptoms she said were silicone related are: numbness, tingling, chronic fatigue, hair loss, memory loss and achey joints. Of course I've had them all. I have improved however, I've been getting numbness and tingling in arms and fingers now, and I still ache, no doubt. I think this will be a good$425 or $525. spent if she can refer me to another dr. who will accept my ins. and write a letter to my ins. company. BJ, I hope you're reading this. By the way, if she were to remove the silicone from the breasts and surrounding tissue it would cost $5,200. That's in my case since I've had the explant. Yeap, my arms still ache and I felt a huge spot under arm and other spots two. Three or more I'm concerned about. Oh by the way I found out I had a double lumin breast implant. They are a combination of saline and silicone. there is an outter shell which is silicone, then a layer of saline, then the insides are silicone. She said the outter layer ruptures first, which makes sense. Well I'm glad this is resonable. Hugs to all, __________________________________________________
