Guest guest
Beth, I also had a really hard time sweating that last three years with implants. All the girls heard about it here forever from the likes of me. I could not lose weight for nothing, despite all the workouts I did everyday. it was frustrating to know I wasnt flushing out toxins as I should be through sweat in the skin. I felt trapped in a body that would not work. I know that being hypothyroid for so long will do that. But I believe it was must more than that. Even after meds, I could not sweat for two years. It wasn’t until I removed the implants, did some severe detoxing, and went on progesterone cream to balance my hormones, and also synthetic t3 (as I was told I had severe thyroid resistance-the doc that saw me believes that my cells are overloaded with toxins and cannot take in thyroid hormone, so I had to go on higher more powerful thyroid meds to override it, and kinda force the cells to take it in- only then I could get full benefits from detox and sweating ) that I began to sweat again. Almost a year after explant. Healing has been in steps all the way. Getting them out, alleviated a lot of crap. Taking specific supplements helped a little more. Then detoxing helped. Diet even more. Balancing hormones after a saliva test, even more, and more quickly. Then getting on proper thyroid meds was the real hit. Not one thing worked. It all worked together in small steps. Like 10% here ,and there. With time too. I had the blasted implants almost a decade, so to expect fast healing would be foolish. I would def give it time, and try different thyroid meds, if you are on any. Or go higher if the doc thinks so. I fought a lot of docs, and finally found one that believed me. He does not go by tests with me for now. He says when it comes to thyroid, blood tests are only a directive measure. He goes by a full pysical examination. My heart rate, hair, pulse, blood pressure, and water retention. I had severly slow heart rate, very low blood pressure, pulse, and water retention amoungst many other things. He wasnt surprised that I could not lose weight and ever since I have been feeling great since his treatment. Except for the numb foot thing. But oh well. He ruled our peripheal vascular disease, and def thinks it neurological damage from the implants by the way. Sorry it took so long to get back to you on that. How are you? carrie: my explant Well, I got them out March 11. I sent my implants to Dr Blais and at my last call about two weeks ago, he said he couldn't find them. He has tons of boxes lying around and is getting bombarded with "safe salines" being sent to him for analysis. Someone on the phone told me most of them leak. I thought great. I told him about my tin problems and he told me I should really be concerned about what might have been growing in there. Ugh. I had smooth salines, Mentor HPs. Dr Kolb did my surgery and it took her 4 hours to get everything out. The capsule was thin and she had to cut away tiny pieces. She is a 20 minute drive from my home. When I go in for followups, they all know me by name. I think I am the "poster child" for not getting implants.Hey, I worked out tonight, nothing big, just got on a cardio glide for about 25 minutes which is a lot for me. I'm having trouble sweating though. Come to think of it, I've never sweated much at all. I need to try a couple of things.Love,Beth
