Guest guest
Hi Dimonds! You all might not agree with me but fasting can be dangerous(some people DIE as a result), if you want, I can name medical sources. You can mess up your electrolite (sp)balance. You need to be careful.I'd relax and try not to strain yourself and if you don't feel better, see your doctor. Fasting is OK for some, but can be dangerous for others--esp. if your health is fragile to begin with. If you want to fast, make sure you never exert yourself and talk to your doc about possible complications. I did this when I was 18, not in the spirit of "fasting" but because it was an anorexic thing. The long and short of it, I ended up in the hospital. My electolites and heart became unstable. Be careful. LMdimonds68 <Dimonds6881@...> wrote: Hey all, this is my second, 3 day juice fast, the first on(last month), went really well. This is day 2 of my juice fast, and this morning I vomited!! Sorry to be so gross...I just do not know if this is 'ok', and happens when fasting. I do remmeber my old detox man telling me his wife vomited while doing a gallbladder flush. I just do not know what to do. Should I stick it out and continue? Or am I hurting myself. I feel like my liver is clogged up???????? Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you.TERRY/dimonds
Guest guest
I think it is a great idea to do alot of research on fasting, as there is tons of material available on it. There is also a fasting group on ...I used to belong to that one and corresponded with a physicist in Russia who fasted regularly. There are also several books available on fasting, written my medical doctors, and I agree, long term fasting needs medical supervision by those who are familiar with its benefits. Many doctors who have not experienced it will be quite negative, so as with most everything else that is alternative, there is controversy. You just have to be supervised by someone who is familiar with it. And fasting shouldn't be so much that you get sick. LM, I'm sorry you struggled with that. Dr. Fuhrman wrote a book called " Fasting and Eating for Health " and he practices in New Jersey...(not too far from you Terry, just in case you might have a small interest....) For me, the fact that God condones fasting is one more positive aspect about it. I doubt that God would ask us to do something that would be harmful for us....however, I don't like to do long term ones anymore, like 7 to 10 days. I think for me the 3 day ones are great, and regular one-day-a-week fasting is also scientifically validated to be a good thing. Please be careful if you aren't feeling good Terry! Let me know.. Guest guest
Patty: It is safe for some people. I did go overboard, I went without eating anything for 8 days and only had water with one glass of orange juice. I was already underweight. After my starvation fast, I weighed 80 lbs. Many people fast and it's safe I think it depends on HOW it's done, for how long, and your current health and if you take it easy when you do it. I would not work out during a fast. When I was upset a couple weeks ago, I went a day without food and it was OK, I pooped a lot--so that was good. I did feel cleaned out (lol).
