Guest guest
Why do you think you have silicone under your arms? What do you feel? When did you have your explantation? Were you happy with Dr. Feng's office? How did you feel after they were explanted? Did you look o.k.? Sorry for all the questions!!! I'm going through all of this very soon. K. Guest guest
The following might be a dumb question..... but could you get an MRI or some type of exray to see if in fact the silicone is in there? I think an MRI might pick it up--but that's just a guess. LMPACCOAST@... wrote: Why do you think you have silicone under your arms? What do you feel? When did you have your explantation? Guest guest
LM, Dr. Feng uses either ultrasound or MRI--not sure which--to find silicone deposits that have escaped from ruptured silicone implants. She worked with a Dr. (Middleton?) to ensure all the silicone is removed upon explant. I believe she discusses that procedure on her website: www.drfeng.com She is one of the few that are thorough and expert at silicone removal using this method, from what I understand. She seems to know that it all has to come out better than many others. Guest guest
Yeah, I think needs to find out if she has the silicone in her. Feng would be a good choice. I figured there would be some MRI type of test, that's good. Guest guest
guyes, the test is an ultrasound, silicone mapping. How many thousands could I expect to pay for that, she dosen't exsept my ins. I also have medicade now as well as medicare. Do you think she would accept these? I'd travel. I'd like to find out myself. Her nurse said, many people could do it but would they do it well. I wonder where around Pgh., PA I could begin to look? Hugs, Jane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@...> wrote: Yeah, I think needs to find out if she has the silicone in her. Feng would be a good choice. Guest guest
: Hi. I'd call Feng's office and ask. I don't want to make any assumptions here because I could be wrong about policies and the like. Ask Feng if she'll help you and if not, where you can go for help. Tell them of your insurance and dilemma.
