Guest guest
Hey ladies how is everyone tonight? I am fantastic, feeling great. In fact I have been able to wear my high heels several times lately and NO FOOT PAIN, it is cool. Anyhow I have a dear friend who had a similiar experience to mine illness wise, with neuro symptoms, elevated ANA etc, 3 years ago, and though she did not have implants, she related it to a tetnus shot that she had recieved after stepping on a rusty nail. She has improved allot but still has some residual stuff, mostly head stuff, like brain fog etc. Anyhow she got well enough that she got pregnant, she has a wonderful baby boy who is really healthy, and she is only 25 years old, this was her first baby, rather large at 8 pounds or so and apparently did some damage to her insides.Being that I work in a hospital I have allot of knowledge about allot of things, however I have to admitmy least favorite area is women's stuff, ya know pregnancy, babies, labor and delivery, yuck, I love trauma, surgery, brain stuff, bones, anything but kids and pregnant women, so I just don't know what to advice her on this. I am hoping someone here will have some kind of alternative Idea to what her Docs are suggesting. First of all they told her she has a vaginal hernia. I have of course seen this and usually it is more common in older women or women with many children. I don't know much more than that about it Anyhow she is really really uncomfortable, and feels like her insides are going to come out. I feel so bad for her. The docs say the only thing they can do is surgery using some kind of mesh to hold things in place, however they do not recomend this and say that she should just wait and not do anything. She is miserable. I am glad the Docs are not pushing her to have surgery, and she is VERY reluctant to have anything done to her that involves a foreign object as she knows and believes all I went through was due to my implants. We became good friends on line when I was on some health board looking for an answer to my illness other than implants(when I still did not want to explant because I had only had the darn things in a few months) anyhow we still are close friends online and she has just been through so much. She was told they thought she had MS at first, she had numbness tingling, she was bedridden for almost a year, her arm swelled up, it was frightening for her at only 21 years of age, and to top it off she had been in the midst of planning a very large expensive wedding when she stepped on the nail and ended up with the tetnus shot. Anyhow long story short, she has this problem and she does not know what to do. She is miserable. Does anyone here know much about vaginal hernias? Is there any exercise or something that can be done that can help it or stregnthen the muscles? I hope you guys can help, I really want to be able to help her as she was there for me so many times when I was so alone with my implant illness. thanks a bunch and I hope your all doing well. hugs
Guest guest
Sorry about your friend . I wish I could offer some help. I would imagine she'd need a gyn surgeon? I wish her the best.
