Guest guest
Hey ladies, I've been reading the posts and WOW...they're all me!!! I didn't think I had a problem with a fast heart rate until I was in the doctor's office about 4 months ago. He asked me if I was nervous! I said no, why? I had already been there 20 minutes or more and I was standing up when he was taking my pulse and he said it was over 120. I didn't even notice it. But, I've been noticing it more and more. It's regularly around 130. I just read a little bit about the " Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome " and I have all of those symptoms! What the heck is it, why does it happen, and who treats for it? I'm going to start watching my heart rate much closer. Also, I've had all the weird tingling and crawly feelings. The first times it happened was a while back - I can't remember right now, but I would have feelings like a spider was walking across me. It would be on my forehead, cheek, scalp, neck, arm, leg, foot, just about anywhere and even in two or more places at once. I'd wake up at night rubbing the area trying to smoosh the spider! The tingling or falling asleep feelings are happening more and more. I can just be laying down watching tv and my arms go to sleep. No pressure on them, nothing cutting off circulation, they just go to sleep. My feet - especially my heels - fall asleep sort of - it's such a weird feeling, but it happens EVERY time I lay on my back. I can wake up with my heels and arms asleep every morning. But, it's not like when you cut off the circulation and they fall asleep - where they start getting tingly and feel really funny for a while until they finally " wake up " . The feeling just goes away. Any thoughts?? Thanks. Pam
