Guest guest
: Hi. I'm sorry that I hurt your feelings. I kept the "1,500" non refundable thing conversation going. I meant no disrespect to you or Dr. Feng as I realize how much she has indeed helped you.You are lucky to have a doctor who cares about you and has imparted her medical skill on to you.Not all of us have been so fortunate. I can see why you recommend her and feel she is the *best* because she has given you HER best and as such you have responsibly passed on the this to other women. It is my opinion that nobody should recommend a doctor unless they are WHOLLY CONFIDENT of their physician. I have been guilty of recommending doctors just because I've "heard" they're good, and frankly that's not responsible of me--given what I've been through. I'm not doing it any more. Period. Unless I SEE their work AND hear about them from a reliable source, it's no dice. ,at least you can feel good about your recommendations being true to yourself.I'm not even going to recommend my own PS until my series of operations are done as the jury is still out on whether or not he's going to deliver what he said he would. To date, the only doctors work I HAVE SEEN with my own eyes--that is what I consider a good result are done by Dr's. (IU), Spear(GU), and Dr. Feng. I will only recommend these doctors. If we all do our part to recommend doctor's work that we are familiar with, between all of us, women will get help.I will not be responsible for recommending someone simply by "hearing" that they're good or a doctor/staff who I feel does have integrity. Back to Feng---It's true, if we have an issue with any doctor about their policy, we need to direct it to that doctor. I was dishing out constructive criticism about the 1,500 charge, but posting it here is not going to institute change unless Feng reads it so what I should do is alert Dr. Feng's secretary of this concern directly. Perhaps if they are made aware of this concern, they might find it reasonable to institute change in that particular policy. Questioning policies is good for us as consumers and patients, but the delivery of such questions can be improved. Again, I'm sorry that my posts regarding this issue offended you or anyone else here.Take care. Imparticularly I get really sick and tired of so many people critisizing the Dr who saved me from Deformity and from illness and changed my entire life. For those of you who do not like or agree with Dr Feng's way of doing business I suggest you just simply go to another Dr. She did a great job and I am happy, so can everyone please quit putting her down. She has done probably more explants than any other PS out there, especially saline, her practice is EXTREMELY busy and it is hard to get in. I am not in charge of what or how she bills, so stop taking it out on me. I am weary of this issue. No one has to go to her just because I happen to think she is the best, and no one is going to change my mind about it, so lets move on.thanks and have a nice holiday. Guest guest
I accept your apology and just want to say that, in all reality, I do believe that Dr Feng has a reason she uses this method in her practice and it is not to be mean or malicious or unthoughtful. She is extremely busy and extremely booked, unlike many many Dr's she does not have time to set up surgeries and have patients change their minds. Now when I had my explant it was not $1500, it was $1,000 and that money was taken off the total cost of the surgery. It was not an extra fee. If one is serious about removal, which we all are, then I don't understand why this is so strange, to me it seemed very reasonable and I had no intention of canceling or backing out, if I had I would not have sent that check. I knew that they would change the date had I needed to, but I also knew that those implants were coming out and to me it was just like making a down payment on my health and my future. In all honesty there are many PS's who are overbilling insurance companies and I am not naming names but I know for a FACT that one PS is charging up to $13,000 to insurance companies for her services, that to me is by far more scandalous than what Dr Feng does by making sure she is not booking into her busy schedules a bunch of flakes that are not serious. If your not serious then she is def not the right PS to see, as she is super busy and not one to waste allot of her precious time on people who are not serious about using her. Seems to me she is one of the busiest around, again why you don't find her spending time on the internet or doing other things other than caring for her patients. I honestly don't believe with my severe deformity that I would look the way I do without her skill and care and yes I very much hope that others will see that in my photos. If there are so many happy patients of other PS's then I wish these woman would share their photos and include before implants with and after so that we can honestly see what they looked like along the way. Oh and for those with silicone you have to realize we are dealing with a much different situation with regard to paying for explant. Silicone implants are often medically necesary to remove. My implants were only 18 months old, the only Dr willing to remove them without money up front was the guy who put them in, and he would not do a lift. I would not remve the implants without a lift as I went into the implant surgery knowing in reality I really needed one to begin with. I was trying to save money, very foolish of me. anyhow enough is enough, there are some nice pics on this site, and to those women that is fabulous, but many of them had a lot more breast tissue than me, so I feel that as a very thin woman with hardly any tissue, only skin, I am a really good example of what can be done with a talented PS. There is NO WAY that I would have come out righ with anything but that special vertical lift. I know this because I was a mess of excess skin. anyhow, it is everyones right to chose who they feel happy with, but to critisize one ps over and over again who has done nothing but help thousands of women is really rather cruel. hugs In , Jane Doe <oceanlilly_csu@y...> wrote: > : > Hi.
