Guest guest
OH! And I forgot to mention that constipation can be caused by magnesium deficiency. And the ratio of 2:1 Calcium to Magnesium is wayyy wrong. It should be the other way around 1:2 Calcium to Magnesium. Taking too much Calcium and not enough magnesium can cause constipation as well! Guest guest
I just wanted to add that you can get this product without the calcium. Since my vitamins already include lots of calcium, I just wanted the magnesium. Also, if you prepare it as directed, it is MUCH more bioavailable. I started out just putting it in my morning smoothie. Then one day I decided to make it like a tea as instructed. Done this way, the same amount gave me loose stools vs just putting it in my smoothie. So for the biggest bang for your buck, make it like tea w/ hot water! I've tried two different flavors and they are both yummy! HTH- Evie > > You could also try dosing manesium 3 x a day. Try a product called > " Calm " www.petergillham.com > On the label it says Calm Plus Calcium.
Guest guest
Good advice Evie, Ill try the tea. Reading about how condensed proteins can generate an acidic environment which leaches magnesium and calcium from the bones in the body. Dairy would be one example of a condensed protein. There is hardly any magnesium in Dairy compared too the calcium so more magnesium is required from the body stores to absorb the calcium. Thats not the only factor in nutrient deficiencies such as cal and mag. Read some of the research talking about refined sugar, cafine and dairy. What popular drink does that sound like? Coffee with cream in it...All three of those ingredients make for potent mineral leeching. Calcium in significant quantities was being leeched out through urine for hours after drinking a coffee. Here is some good information about caffeine: http://www.lifeenergyholisticcenter.com/pdf/caffeine.pdf > > > > You could also try dosing manesium 3 x a day.
