HIV/AIDS affected persons take march to HC

KOCHI: About 100 HIV/AIDS affected persons from all over the country

on Friday took a March to the Kerala High Court seeking a ban

on 'Immuno QR', claimed by its manufacturer as an AIDS cure.

They also presented a memorandum to the Chief Justice, J L Gupta

seeking ban on the 'magic cure'.

Meanwhile, Chennai-based 'network of positive people' has filed a

PIL in Kerala High Court seeking ban on the 'Immuno QR'.

According to the petitioner, the drug had not been clinically tested

to prove its efficacy against AIDS.

It was submitted that the manufacture and sale of the drug was a

violation of Drugs and Cosmetics Act.
