Guest guest
Just a FYI, This article: http://web.mit.edu/london/www/magnesium.html mentions Fibromyalgia, sleep disturbance, Raynaud's Syndrome, Migraine's, chronically elevated cytokine activity, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, gluten intolerance, lesions (MS being one manifestation), myopathy (weak muscles) as all being symptoms of Magnesium deficiency. However these all happen to be some of the symptoms of Lyme disease as well: http://www.canlyme.com/ I know that Lyme disease feeds off of Magnesium and vitamin D within the body so one can cause the other. Figuring out which came first the infection or the mag deficiency is kind of a moot point when both conditions should be treated irregardless of which started first. It's funny how the author doesn't mention Lyme disease once and yet it is so implicated if not the cause of this magnesium deficiency issue. It's also very interesting how the author mentions stressful/traumatic incidents as triggering magnesium depletion. Lyme disease can also be triggered out of dormancy from stressful situations most likely due to the weakening of the immune system during such events. It talks about fixing the sleep disturbance, my sleep disorder didn't start to resolve itself until I started taking powerful antimicrobials to kill the Lyme disease. So fixing a sleeping disorder is more easily said than done. It's a long process but can with the right treatment protocol and some dedication be healed just like everything else. It's unfortunate that diseases like Fibromyalgia exist at all. It is one of the many diseases out there that the medical profession claims has sill no known etiology. Essentially it's a dead end disease with only treatment protocols on par with palliative care. There is major financial incentive by the pharmaceutical industry to NOT discover the true cause of Fibromyalgia and other chronic degenerative diseases due to the fact that lots of money can be made off of these illnesses. I know that Fibromyalgia is most likely caused by Lyme disease and/or Mag deficiency. My 2 cents =p Brad > > http://web.mit.edu/london/www/magnesium.html >
