Guest guest
pectin does not work the same way. The reason for the apple juice is for the malic acid. Pectin is a soluble fiber and is very important in binding with cholesterol when released in bile. but they are 2 different detox substances for different reasons. -D Question about pectin and gb flush I want to substitute Certo liquid pectin for apple juice bc I'm on a lo-carb diet. I was looking for more info on this on the web, and this is all I found: " Gall Bladder / Liver cleanse. Mix one packet of liquid pectin (like certo brand) to 32 oz of water. Drink 4 oz 3 times a day for a month. repeat one packet per month after that. Liquid pectin is found in grocery stores in canning or jam/jelly making. Don't use the powder type " --Pasted from " answerbag " Is there a more detailed protocol for using this source of pectin (rather than capsules) and the prep that you do for a few days before taking the olive oil/lemon juice concoction with epsom salts? Also, can you substitute Milk of Magnesia for epsom salts or Mag Citrate drink? Some treatments I read don't even use a laxative (or enema.) Guest guest
Thanks for explaining. Is there a way to get malic acid without the apple juice? I am trying to work around carb sensitivity. I'm on Atkins diet and will have to go through " induction " again, facing fierce sugar cravings if I drink appple juice. > > pectin does not work the same way. Guest guest
You can get malic acid in caps either at a health food store or practitioner. you can also get it in mineral supplements as part of the bonding like magnesium malate. I too cannot do a flush with apple juice because of the sugar content. the above is the best solution that I know of. -D Question about pectin and gb flush > > > I want to substitute Certo liquid pectin for apple juice bc I'm on a > lo-carb diet. > > I was looking for more info on this on the web, and this is all I found: > " Gall Bladder / Liver cleanse. Guest guest
I buy malic acid in powder form where I get my colonics. You can get it online at www.piwine.com. It costs $2.25 plus shipping for 95 grams. On the website, click on catalog, then search on " malic acid " . > > > > pectin does not work the same way.
