This site has over 500 members who probably would like to > have a chance to communicate and get to know others fighting this > disease but I feel a lot have lost interest or are afraid to post as > there post may be something which offends the moderators and owners. If you have something honest or important to say, something that may relate to your personal suffering, then you are generally not ignored here but SUPPORTED. It's probably not the best place to meet individuals and carry on the banter of individual discussion, but so what if some people think it is? > Discussions have different view points and to moderate or kick someone > off for stating there view You've missed the point. The only people thrown off are those who disrespect others repeatedly. You are WAY out of line, Chefboy. Lighten up. Tell us something honest about yourself, the individual. What is going on with you? Relating your personal story will only make you friends. Guest guest
Although I value your opinion and therefore welcome all comments of constructive nature. I have to abide by the terms of service (TOS) set down by for all its members. When a member violates the TOS, I am left to doing one of several options. I can report them to for violation of TOS or I can remove or ban them from the group. If I report them to , they are subject to deletion of their accounts as judged by the staff. I feel that the kinder, gentler way of handling the problem is to moderate, and in some cases remove said member from our board if their actions do not desist. My job as Owner is to make this a safe place for all. For the good of the whole. My position here is of a non-paid,volunteer nature as that of the other Owner of this group and that of all the moderators. It would do for all the members to review the TOS of from time to time to keep updated on what is acceptable for members. The lastest situation was a violation of TOS, and did not stop when asked by the Owner of this group and two moderators. The individual was warned and did not respond to our pleas, except to continue in the same course of action he had previously taken. Here is a the portion of the TOS that he violated. You agree to not use the Service to: a. upload, post, email, transmit or otherwise make available any Content that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, tortuous, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, libelous, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable; I am a rock, I am island...and a rock feels no pain, and a island never cries...- Simon

Guest guest
To Chefboy: Let's see....over the past two days, I have been called not just a liberal (plus a few choice words),and a know-it-all, but also (at another forum)destructive, a back stabber, forum ripper, I turn friends against one another, halt the progress of those infected, or who were infected, and every word I say is false. If this is ego stroking, I'd hate to hear the insults. Step into my shoes my friend....but first, get a grip, because the ride may be wild. All I can find is the information group but not the discussion group. When I tried to join it came back with a message that I was already subscribed.
