Guest guest
Cholangiocarcinomas (bile duct cancers) arise from the epithelial cells of the intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile ducts. These cancers are highly lethal because most are locally advanced at presentation. Tumors involving the proper hepatic duct bifurcation are collectively referred to as Klatskin tumors. In the first part of the topic, a review of pathogenesis and classification have been posted on: http://www.surgerysearch.blogspot.com/ Dr. Jitendra Agrawal, Kanpur, India.
