Government of India blocked

Dear FORUM,

Sorry, for the delay in posting messages on this FORUM. The posting has been

affected by the Government of India's decission to block all the groups.

Unless one use a proxy server one can't acceess the FORUM through Indian

Internet Service Providrs (ISP)

The government of India's order to block the website set up by the

Khasi separatist outfit, Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (NHLC) for

promoting sedition is misguided. The newsletters site which has only 37 members.

Several other forums such as e FORUM, which has more than 1,800

subscribers, (www./groups//) are also victims to the

government's misguided decision. e FORUM is a popular forum for

information and communication on AIDS related issues in India. The members of

this FORUM use it for rapid dissemination of a wide range of AIDS related

information, policy development, conferences, funding schemes etc.

We urge the government of India to take urgent steps to remove the block on

forums such as e FORUM.
