Guest guest
Hello, just wanted to make a suggestion to anyone who is trying to save money in regards to milk thistle.(it can get expensive) I am a huge fan of it, it has help me in countless ways, so i consume a lot of it. Rather than spending a lot of money on it i buy it in the bulk one pound bag (whole seeds), It doesnt matter what company, personally i buy from frontier, I grind it in a coffee grinder then i put it in vodka(40 proof, if its 80 proof, dilute it half) add just enough vodka to saturate the milk thistle cause there are nutrients in the millk thistle that are hard to get out of it any other way, after i let it set for a day you can then make a tea out of it. I do this to get it in my system quicker. I dont even take milk thistle for the gallbladder although im sure it helps. I get in these crappy moods (male pms) and i does wonders at pulling me out of them. I know im not suppose to, but i drink coffee, and before the milk thistle my back would ache really bad later on in the day and when i drink the milk thistle it doesnt hurt. I shouldnt say this but i give it to my mom and it helps her with gas, although shes going to do a flush and ive heard that helps people with gas too. If i was stuck on an island and had the choice of one herb , it would be milk thistle. Hope that helps somebody. Speaking of milk thistle, does anyone know anything about magnesium stearate? It is some sort of filler that is found in many supplements such as milk thistle. I haven't been able to find milk thistle without it. Premier Research Labs is a supplement manufacturer that does not put magnesium stearate in any of its products. They claim that magnesium is a " toxic excipient " . Does anyone know anything about magnesium steareate, or more specifically whether it is a problem or not? Thanks.
Guest guest
Stearates are exipients used as flowing agents in the tableting process (also used in sandpaper to limit clogging of the grit. messes up the finishing process by not allowing some finishes to adhere). Not a nutritional source of magnesium. Some people can have problems with them but most do not. Not something I would want to put into my body if it can be avoided. One of the reasons that I prefer capsules over tablets. When companies use automatic encapsulation machines instead of semi automatic or manual, stearates are used at times in encapsulation as well. Must be listed on the label by law. -D Re: Should I have surgery? > > > > > > Removing GB is entirely your own decision but let me shre > > > my experience wit > > > you.
