Hello i had my gb out 5 weeks ago and i don't regret it. I feel a lot better for

it. I had real bad pain before the surgery because of the gal stones and my food

wasn't digesting very well. I can eat everything i did before and i know i am

digesting it.

- how do you know you are digeting your food better?

Or is this an assumption?

I would not have my GB out, it screws up your entire digetive system.

Well, i do not agree that removing GB will screw up your digestive system

because i removed my GB on April 13th, 09 and there is no problem with

digestive system so far. I eat every thing. All you have to do is to take

your dinner around 2-3 hours before going to bed. And just to be on the

safe side, avoid fatty foods and drink more gree tea after the meals. Green

tea would help with digestion and recommended even if you have your gb still

there. GOOD LUCK!

Careful about equating the lack of current problems or symptoms with health.

For those who are experiencing gallbladder problems and then have their

gallbladder removed it is almost guaranteed that you will have instant relief.

This is not health, it is relief from symptoms. The gallbladder performs

necessary functions which will now not be possible. Granted you can live

without it just as you can live without a spleen, a thymus, a thyroid, a limb

etc. But the concept that removing your gallbladder will not effect digestion

is flawed by definition. -D

There is a huge difference between the terms * " SCREW UP* " and

*'EFFECT " *your digestion is effected there is no doubt that’s why you

are advised to

eat smaller meals and eat lots of hours before going to bed but one can not

claim that your digestive system is screwed up after removing the GB. So no

disagreement Dave, digestive system will be *EFFECTED* but not *SCREWED UP*.

Cheers

I am in full agreement with you Munawar. I am not defending the term of " screw

up " , and for those of you who have had your organ removed, these things that

Munawar recommends are right on the money. If you have had the organ removed

there are now lifestyle changes that would be recommended. Taking supplemental

bile and digestive enzymes containing lipases would be another one.

The purpose of my post below is to caution the idea that since we are now

symptom free soon after having the organ removed that this equates to a state of

" health " The continuation of life the same way we lived before may lead to

other " imbalances " . Another example would be the woman who experiences

menstrual irregularities and is put on the pill to supposedly " balance " this out

and relieve the symptoms. I see it every day. And I see it when she has been

doing this or ignoring and powering through the discomfort for 30 years... She

had cysts on the ovaries in her late 20s and early 30s which were removed,

fibroids or endometriosis in her late 30s into her early 50s for which the

hysterectomy was performed. I will refrain from describing the horrors that now

bring her to me...

Again, as I stated in another recent post, for me the " condition " means

little. I merely purport and beg changes in thought, approach, and lifestyle.

This is based on both my " knowledge " (for whatever that is worth) and my

experience (worth a lot). I have watched loved ones and clients suffer and in

some cases die, and wish only to help. Buy the way, if I determine that someone

is either on a death " wish " or on their way out, I refuse to interfere. Much

'medical " treatment in this culture is less humane than we think.

Where do you want to go? How best to get there?

-Dave

bs is not an opinion Jay it is an emotional reaction to a fact your

rational mind has difficulty dealing with- it does not change the facts

" Much 'medical " treatment in this culture is less humane than we think. "

I agree fully. There is so much truth and gravity to this statement.

The words industialized, covert genocide come to mind.

I am in China currently, Beijing. I just finished visiting a highly acclaimed

eastern medicine hospital.  They said the same thing is wrong with me, too much

heat in my liver and gallbladder.  They recommended herbs for 3 months that are

developed for western people, because we do not react to the herbs prescribed

for a Chinese person as we should.

The liver / gb issues add weight to our waist, possible high

bp,cholesterol...etc.

They liked that I do the liver / gb cleansings - but they say it does not treat

the problem or symptoms.

I have to cut out hot spicey foods (which I love)...I already stopped coffee (I

do the tea), etc...

I will try these herbs and tell you all what happens.

I did not want to high jack this thread....sorry...I have been here so long I

forgot how to add a new subject.
