Guest guest
Liz - You are exactly right - not all bio-dentists are the same. Calling themselves this & having some of the training doesn't mean they support removal of root canal or even testing of good dental materials to use in the mouth - they should be especially conscious of this in immune-compromised individuals. I don't know this doctor personally, but I know " of him " through my own research. Contact him directly via email - many of these folks will write you back directly. He's in Washington, DC. Google his name for more information as well. His name is Dr. Mark McClure: http://www.nihadc.com/joomla/content/view/179/36/ Hope this helps!! cathy > > Not all biological dentist know much about root canal. Guest guest
It is true that not all biological dentist know much about root canal. Recently I had visited one and he told me I have 2 canals which should be re-done bc they are short. But he didn't say it should be removed at all. I had asked him about one tooth with crown which has deep caries if it could be the reason for my infections. He didn't say anything about that but only advised to change the crown bc it didn't fit. He also told me to visit another doctor who can identify safe metals for me bc he don't do that himself. My new physician is alternative doc and he promised to find out the best metal I need. He was agreed that root canal is dangerous.I personally feel that my health became weak after placement of canals. I am afraid if I will remove root canals from 2 teeth under bridge I will have to put new one and it is too expensive for me now. On the other side I have that crown which should be removed and it has nickel among many other metals. I know some people go abroad to do dental work but I am not sure it will be done properly and if they have biological dentists. If somebody knows where it could be done please, advice. My insurance will cover part of cost from foreign dentist too.I live in Washington DC area and probably you can recommend somebody here. Guest guest
Thank you very much for responce. It is interesting that I had visited doctor in this location too bc he is in network provider for my insurance. It seems that doctors could be different in the same office. Probably i will visit this doctor next time, at least for consultation. Liz " fishsalmon2001 " wrote: > Liz - > You are exactly right - not all bio-dentists are the same. Guest guest
Hi Liz - I can't speak for this office, but I've been in alternative physician offices where 2 docs share a practice and think quite differently. You may be able to save some $$$ for consultation and just email him with a few basic questions - save yourself some time too! I do this before I see anyone anymore. cathy > > Liz - > > You are exactly right - not all bio-dentists are the same.
