Guest guest
Being NO expert at all on chemistry, that looks crazy high to me, especially for an unprovoked test. Any recent exposure that you know of? You don't say what lab you used, but my DDI urine test values come back in ug/g creatinine, with a note at the bottom of the page saying " Toxic metals are reported as ug/g creatinine to account for urine dilution variations. " -- if that gets to your question at all. For mercury, their reference range is <3, so 33.1 is 11 times out of whack. I'd call the lab and whoever ordered the test ASAP and try to find out more. PS ug=microgram; I don't know the ascii code for the micro symbol. > In my earlier post, 36304 that was 33.1 ug/g of Hg. How can urine > have results on a weight/weight basis. Here is my family's favorite. It's pretty forgiving. Just make sure the water is HOT. You can add nut meal to make it more " interesting " looking (almond meal adds a nice taste too, about 1/2 cup). I haven't tried it with kefir ... I think it would work ok if the kefir was HOT. White Bread 2 cups corn starch 1/2 cup rice flour 1/2 cup potato starch 1/4 cup tapioca starch 1/4 cup sugar 4 1/2 tsp. dry yeast 1 1/2 tsp xanthan gum 1 1/2 tsp salt Mix those up. You can store them in baggies or jars for later. Now heat 2 cups of water up to 150 degrees (not quite boiling, but as hot as you can stand). While the mixer is running, add the hot water to the mix. You may use up most of the 2 cups, or less, depending. You want a batter that is about like a nice spreadable frosting after you add the egg and oil. Add one egg and 2 Tablespoons oil or melted butter, keep mixing. Put it in a bread pan, let it rise to double it's bulk (which happens faster than you think!). Or spread it into pita bread size loaves on a greased cookie sheet, or in a pizza pan for pizza. Or in muffin tins for muffins/rolls. For banana bread, add one banana, honey, nuts, cardamom, cinnimon, nutmeg, raisins, and whatever. THAT is really yummy! > Heidi Jean
Guest guest
Hi Noel- My boys have both been off meds for a couple of years now, after being on them not quite 3 years. Both did well. My ASD son has not regressed from his improvemetns, but I just restarted my youngest son on SSRI and Tenex. He was having a period of chronic illness and tiredness and having difficulty at school, and was whiney... etc etc. Finally we added that back and he has really perked up. TENEX really helps offset the stimmy and sleeplessness and hyperness that an SSRI can add. And it has a biologically beneficial role. It is a vasodilator, and allows the blood vessels in the brain to open up some - has a lot of positive immune effects. I know it sounds awful to add " another med " ... but the SSRI/Tenex combo was excellent for my boys. It's very inexpensive, very old, and used to be used often in ADD. But it has a lot of benefits to it. It's good stuff. I think the restricted blood vessels allow the blood to " backup " into the deeper part of the brain where those symptoms reside. Guest guest
My son was 3 when we started (he's 4 now) and he had a bit of sleeplessness and hyperactivity when we first started. It went away after about 2 weeks. If it doesn't go away, it's possible that it's not the right drug and you need a switch. Just make sure you keep Dr. G posted on what's going on so he's aware because he may decide to switch it. Guest guest
I would not give tylenol as it depletes gluyathione. Motrin would be better. Maybe others can recommend something better than motrin. Guest guest
getting a headache from flagyl (for bacteria) could mean yeast overgrowth? not sure i get it. is it becasue the flagyl is killing bad bacteria and making more room for yeast to grow? Giving antibiotics generally tends to upset the gut balance, and increase yeast. I have had yeast [and bad bacteria] in my head, and it causes a major nasty headache. Guest guest
As long as he/she is not feverish or lethargic, you are OK. Keep chelating. From: Arias <thinkingheads@...> Subject: [ ] URGENT Date: Thursday, December 4, 2008, 5:38 PM I know Dana said she chelated with out the supplements, but was the for just the firs dose? I am trying to get the individual vitamins on board, but they are all not there yet. Is it OK to chelate several times without having the vitamins in place. I don't know if I should stop this round. I gave the ALA 3 times already.
Guest guest
I would keep going. Your dosing every 3 hours right? If your following Cutler protocol in terms of timing and dose size, then I would keep going. You can always pump them full of vitamins and minerals after the end of the round if you are wanting to watch for reactions to particular vitamins or minerals. Swimming pool chlorine tends to cause yeast overgrowth. If there was no chlorine [or substitute] in the pool, consider bad bacteria rather than yeast. Or, taurine if the chlorine caused a chemical sensitivity issue http://www.danasview.net/chlorine.htm Dana

Guest guest
Have you tried activated charcoal? The problem may be die-off. When you kill yeast, it often causes irritation (die-off effect).  Another thing which causes this is chelation. If chelating, are you giving minerals (at least on off days)?  Good luck. > > > > > we just got back from costa rica 4 days ago. she is really mean. i > > havent changed a thing since we left. she was doing fine before we > > left. she has an ear ache from swimming in the pool. > > Swimming pool chlorine tends to cause yeast overgrowth. > > If there was no chlorine [or substitute] in the pool, consider bad > bacteria rather than yeast. > > Or, taurine if the chlorine caused a chemical sensitivity issue > > http://www.danasvie w.net/chlorine. htm > > Dana > > >

Guest guest
I mean multi-minerals. The one I use is called Minerall:  http://www.kirkmanlabs.com/ViewProductDetails@Product_ID129 (DOT) aspx  You can use many other mineral products.   Another thing that causes aggresiveness is excessive " Carnaware " . http://www.carn-aware.com/  Too much carnosine causes aggressiveness.  You should also consider reaction to foods -- but that's not likely but worth looking into.  Good luck > > > > > > > > > we just got back from costa rica 4 days ago. she is really mean. i > > > havent changed a thing since we left. she was doing fine before we > > > left. she has an ear ache from swimming in the pool. > > > > Swimming pool chlorine tends to cause yeast overgrowth. > > > > If there was no chlorine [or substitute] in the pool, consider bad > > bacteria rather than yeast. > > > > Or, taurine if the chlorine caused a chemical sensitivity issue > > > > http://www.danasvie w.net/chlorine. htm > > > > Dana > > > > > > > >

Guest guest
Chlorine pool water used to worsen my son's behavior. I've read that swallowing chlorinated water kills beneficial bacteria in the intestine, so you'll need to give probiotics such as lactobacillus etc. Also try dissolving a cup or so of epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) in the bathwater. Definitely keep an eye on the progress of that ear infection. - Hokkanen Urgent Posted by: " Arias " thinkingheads@... denise_arias Tue Dec 23, 2008 7:07 am (PST) we just got back from costa rica 4 days ago. she is really mean. i havent changed a thing since we left. she was doing fine before we left. she has an ear ache from swimming in the pool. i took her to the doctor and he said give high doeses of vit.
