Guest guest
Hi . I have that same golf ball in my middle chest and I also burp up foam. I also get massive hiccups from lying down due to GERD. I'm different than you, I had an ultrasound and I do have several GB stones. Sometimes I just feel sick all the time, like I need to burp up whats in there but it never goes away. Sometimes the massive hiccups get so bad that I need to get sick and dry-heave. If you don't have gallstones, it could be GERD( reflux disease), it sounds like it. I used to take LO SEC tabs and they didn't work very good so my doctor gave me NEXIUM 40mg and they work great. Check with your doctor, it might be just a lack of acid in your stomach and all you need is a tea spoon of apple cider vinegar with each of your meals and that gasball in your stomach will be gone. Hope I helped. P.S. Do your homework though, read-up on the symptoms of GERD and low acid. I feel pressure under my right rib cage. It sometimes radiates to the center of my ribs under the sternum. It doesn't really hurt but does sometimes get uncomfortable. It feels like there is a golf ball stuck there. It comes and goes and sometimes seems related to eating but not to fatty/non-fat foods. I have also noticed that at times, I burp up foamy saliva. It feels like I swallowed an alka-seltzer. I have also had increased intestinal gas but it may not have anything to do with what is going on. I can eat what I want and very rarely get heartburn. The doctor first thought it was my gall bladder but I had an ultrasound that showed no stones. Then, I was referred to a gastroenterologist who did a upper endoscopy. That showed that I have mild gastritis but nothing to really worry about. The doctor said my stomach looked healthy and I could use Prevacid or an OTC acid reducer as needed. The pain/pressure went away for a few weeks then returned. I started on Prevacid and it seemed to help some. The gastro did say that it was also in the area of my gallbladder but he wouldn't want to touch it since it isn't really giving me much trouble or causing a lot of discomfort. I just want to know what it is. I hate to go back to the doctor to run a lot of tests just for them to tell me it is mild gastritis again. Has anyone else had these type symptoms and got a diagnosis? Thanks,
Guest guest
Thanks ! My doctor did an upper endoscopy and said I didn't have GERD but who knows? I very rarely have heart burn. The doctor did try prevacid for the gastritis but it doesn't seem to help much. I think I will give the apple cider vinegar a try. Guest guest
Hey ! I don't want to say this but I think I've found my symptoms and it would be really worth while for you to read this webpage also http://digestive.niddk.nih.gov/ddiseases/pubs/pancreatitis/index.htm . I was having a lot of problems with GERD and now gallstones bothering me but I was waking up with fever, pain in my back and abdomen, rapid heart rate and vomiting. I was stupid and went to town on drinking whisky and Coke and now I'm really paying for it. On this page , it talks about the connection between people with gallstones and how it effects the pancreas and how the pancreas effects the stomach and a whole bunch of other organs. One word of advice with the apple cider vinegar, don't over do it and if it starts giving you heartburn or a burning feeling in your stomach/esophagus, cut-back on it a little. I always took mine by mixing it with water( like throwing-back a shooter) before meals.
