Guest guest
Jay, don't be a tease tell us how you make them. Are they cooked, refrigerated, or just left out to dry??? I need more details, so I can make these for dh. Virgin coconut oil would probably go well in these and it's very healthy for you. Guest guest
Thank you for all the info. Guest guest
Definitely stay away from vegetable shortening as it is bad for anyone, gallbladder problems or not. Extra virgin olive oil is okay but you shouldn't cook with it or any oil except coconut oil. Coconut oil is good. It contains saturated fat but it is medium-chain, not long-chain which is suppose to be okay. Plus it has many healthful and healing properties. Dairy is not good. As many as two-thirds of people have some sort of dairy allergy and most don't know that is what is bothering them. Dairy and other food allergies are know to cause gallbladder problems. Some people think that raw may be okay. It may be okay, but I am not taking any chances. Good luck... > > Hi, > My husband is suffering from gallstones and attacks. Guest guest
> > I would avoid dairy, it can cause very common inflammitory reactions which can only make things worse for the gb. > www.notmilk.com > > B > One of the biggest problem with the vast majority of conventional dairy products available today is that they're utterly unnatural. That's due in large part to the fact that these products are pasteurized and homogonized. Pasteurization and homogenization denature milk destroying its beneficial enzyme and bacteriological content. Another huge reason conventional dairy products are so unhealthy and unnatural is because they're derived from factory farmed animals that are extremely stressed their entire lives. As a result, factory farmed animals are often terribly unhealthy. The sad fact is that factory farmed animals are cruelly confined and often forced to stand for long periods of time in their own wastes. They're fed inappropriate foods like genetically modified corn and soy, they're routinely given antibiotics and synthetic hormones, and they're never allowed to graze and roam freely on green grassy pastures the way nature intended for them to. Raw dairy products from animals that are allowed to free range and graze on green grass, on the other hand, are entirely different from conventional dairy products. Raw milk from grass fed animals, especially if those animals are raised on organic pastures and are hormone, drug and GMO free, is a natural, extremely nutrient dense food that human beings have been consuming for eons. Butter, cheese, yogurt, kefir and cream derived from the raw milk of grass fed animals are some of the most nourishing foods on the planet, and people all over the world have successfully eaten these nutrient rich foods for a very long time indeed. Many people who are lactose intolerant find they can consume raw dairy products with no problem. People allergic to conventional dairy likewise are often surprised to find that they have no allergic reactions when consuming raw dairy. Check out these sites for more information on the many health benefits of consuming raw dairy products from grass fed animals: http://www.realmilk.com/ http://www.raw-milk-facts.com/ http://www.rawmilk.org/default.php http://www.westonaprice.org/splash_2.htm
Guest guest
I just recalled how I felt after eating coconut oil. Terrible. I had some bad inflammation for about 1/2 a day which was systemic. Also got some cramping in my GI. The next day I tried it again and no such symptoms. Since coconut oil is anti fungal and anti viral (monolauren) then maybe those symptoms were due to pathogenic die off. I agree with Elan's post. Very well put together info I must say. Seeing as I have some insight on the RBGH scandal (cow growth hormone), I can definitely see the unhealthy side of conventional hormone, pesticide, virally infected dairy products. When it comes to the emotional state of animals that we consume. There is studies done in the field of quantum physics. Emotions, thoughts and feelings can be passed onto people who consume the meat of animals that have been mistreated. Most likely this translates to milk as well. Have a good day guys, Brad > > Thank you for all the info. I am going to try with real butter since my dh > had a gallblader attack after eating a coconut popsicle (no dairy). Guest guest
Raw milk has in fact killed people because of the fact that it is raw and unpasteurized. It is rare, but it happens. However, Mc's food has killed more people than raw milk. Why is it illegal in most states? The reason usually given is that it is not safe. Is there more to it than that? Are there political and/or financial reasons for this? Probably, but I don't know... Even if you assume that raw milk is safe, some people will still argue that it is not good to consume. The argument is that cow's milk is designed only for the calf. But if you are intent on consuming another species' milk, they say that goat's milk is the best. Goat's milk is suppose to be closer to mother's milk than cow's milk. With all of that said, I think that you will find very few detractor's of consuming raw cow's milk. Milk kefir is suppose to have many health benefits. You can buy it at health food stores, but I am not sure if it is typically made from unpasteurized milk or not. > > > From: elan_spire <elan_spire@...> > Subject: Re: somewhat off topic: practical question > gallstones > Date: Monday, August 31, 2009, 2:17 PM > > > > > > > --- In gallstones@gro ups.com, " ontarioguy2334 " <ontarioguy2334@ ...> wrote: > > > > I would avoid dairy, it can cause very common inflammitory reactions which can only make things worse for the gb. > > www.notmilk. com > > > > B > > > > One of the biggest problem with the vast majority of conventional dairy products available today is that they're utterly unnatural. Guest guest
> > Elan, > What you have written is simply brilliant and so compassionate. Why >then are states so reticent to allow raw milk that has been tested? > There are any number of reasons so many states are so unwilling to legalize the sale of raw dairy products. These reasons range from the widespread dissemination of misinformation and disinformation, to the massive programming of the pubic through the mainstream media, to things like ignorance, fear, politics, big business, and perhaps most of all, MONEY. Guest guest
Dave, I was hospitalized as an infant with bronchitis and pneumonia and presumably given a lot of antibiotics, but I don't know for sure. This was probably a result of my parents smoking, but I will never know that for sure either. In any case, I was not able to tolerate milk in my early years as I use to " wheeze " until dairy was removed from my diet. In my adult years, I used to have a lot of sinus infections until I got off the dairy. I am wondering if there is a connection between your " ... feeding the good guys " statement and my problems? Perhaps the antibiotics killed off most of the good guys setting the stage for my dairy problems. I have never heard of candida until a couple of years ago, but I think that I may have had it most of my life based on symptoms. I very much appreciate your thoughts on this... > > > > > > I would avoid dairy, it can cause very common inflammitory > > reactions which can only make things worse for the gb. > > > www.notmilk<http://www.notmilk/>. com > > > > > > B > > > > > > > One of the biggest problem with the vast majority of conventional > > dairy products available today is that they're utterly unnatural. > > That's due in large part to the fact that these products are > > pasteurized and homogonized.
