Dear Joy,

It's nice to know that you have thought of this pilot project for the welfare of

women. This particular profession being a male dominated one it is

not withot challange for the women who will come forword to grab the unique

opprtunity. I have come across the strong autorikshaw unions who do not allow

any male autorickshaw driver from other nodes or areas to operate in their

territory. So you can imagine what the women drivers might face!

But that should not deter you at all. The male autorikshaw drivers and the

public also will get used to this novel concept if the women are determined and

strong.This will imbibe a fresh confidence in the women of uor society. With the

helping hand of financial assistance,they might get moral support from

their families.

About women living with HIV one can't really predict.How they will progress in

the course of the disease,the opprtunistic infections ,the demand of being

physically fit all the time might not go the way one might hope for. A 5 year

loan liability also might prove an additional mental load for them. Those under

regular medical supervision should take this up as a means of earning and

financial independence. Even if one woman succeeds,it will boost enormous

confidence in the rest of the women living with HIV.
