The first (and only) time I took the sodium ascorbate, it made me feel

very weird. Would that have been from die-off? What is the purpose of

adding baking soda? I thought I'd read it is an anti-fungal? Maybe

the baking soda can be started slowly, then increased? Help?

Hi Bee,

I saw your message--AFTER--I decided to try the sodium ascorbate to see

if it had really been the culprit before. I used about 1/16 tsp. of

baking soda with 1/4 tsp. ascorbic acid and mixed with water. Well, I

slept horribly and I have had bowel weirdness all day today. I know

that wasn't much baking soda, but my body is extremely sensitive and

reacts to much lower doses than most people I know. At least now I know

for certain what die-off will feel like to me.

I appreciate the fact that you keep abreast of information to keep us

informed and up-to-date.

you take charge of your own health, and destiny, by learning all you

can about nutrients your body needs, and how your body heals and

reactions you can expect.

I try to keep up with things, but with this situation I feel I was

too slow on the uptake. :( Guess that proves I'm human too. :)

Hi . Sodium ascorbate has bicarbonate of soda in it, so it is the

wrong one. Get " ascorbic acid crystals " only.

I just got the vit C crystals and I have a hard time swalowing it, it

is very bitter and I gag. Any suggestions on how to make it better?

Hi Carmen,

Have you tried stirring it into your electrolyte drink? Only do that

with meals (ascorbic acid on an empty stomach may not be too

comfortable). But that has worked for me, to stir it in.

calcium without vitamin C and I am trying to get some vitamin C into me

without the acid forming qualities that most have.

They are not the same thing. Calcium ascorbate is calcium bonded to ascorbic

acid=V-C. Calcium citrate is calcium bonded to citric acid. If V-C is the goal

you want ascorbates. Would recommend a mixed ascorbate like calcium, magnesium,

zinc, potassium etc. Both are close to neutral in ph, but only the ascorbates

contain V-C. -D

Ester C is a combination of calcium and vitamin C.

It is good for the acid but the calcium can cause constipation. Plus you don't

want an over supply of calcium in the blood either. phine

Guys Dr Dan is a very knowledgeable guy. I've talked to him on the phone a few

times.

It's not just about flushes and cleanses, changing the bodies pH is also vitally

important. In fact flushes and cleanses are more effective when the body is

within an ideal pH range.

pH is a major problem, this is why sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) is being

used by an Rome Oncologist to treat cancer. Many cancers I believe are a result

of an acidic internal environment. I'm sure other diseases are too!

I'm doing some sodium bicarbonate enemas about an hour after the coffee enema.

Also drinking sodium bicarb.

Dan can you post a protocol for people? I'm sure they would appreciate it.

I'm starting to feel better, especially in the inflammation department.

I will guarantee you that the vast majority of people have no clue about the

importance of the proper pH level. They don't even know what pH means. As a

result, they keep on eating a lot of acid producing foods such as meats, breads,

etc. ... keep on taking acid producing medicines, etc. Although, many would

ignore this even if they were informed.

Very sad that we are not better educated in this regard. Also very sad that

many would disregard or ignore even if educated.

All this hype of the health care insurance debate. The significance of the cost

of health care would be a fraction of what it is if we would observe the

importance of proper pH and many other things that we discuss on this forum.

I don't have anything handy. But you can google it and get a lot of info.

There are many sites with lists of foods catagorized as acidic or alkaline.

Unfortunatly, some of these sites differ on certain foods as to where a

particular food should be catagorized. The simple answer is eat VEGETABLES!

You even have to be careful with many fruits that are acid-producing.

The rule of thumb that I heard is that you should try to eat a diet that is

80/20 alkaline to acidic. That is very difficult to achieve. Also, I also

understand that you don't want a diet that is 100% alkaline.

From what I understand, most prescription and OTC medicines are acid-producing

as well.

Some people take a half or whole teaspoon of baking soda at bedtime in water to

help with the pH issue. If you do that, make sure you buy the aluminum-free

baking soda at your health food store.
