There is a tremendous amount of activity combating AIDS on the grassroots level

in India. Organizations and activists working on the ground frequently are

forced to devise unconventional methods of raising awareness in order to address

the basic public health challenges that they face on a daily basis. Work done

on the local level will likely prove to be the critical factor in preventing the

spread of the epidemic throughout South Asia.

Please join the Asia Society for a conversation on how individuals, local

organizations, and governments are responding to the public health challenge,

and what more must be done in struggle against AIDS in India.
