Guest guest
> > > Hi Amelia, > I had been having attacks for over a year's time. It's a long story. I have been worried more about the stones getting stuck during a cleanse. So I have continuously talked myself out of doing it. Have you looked at any of the many photos online so you can see just how large some of the stones are that people have passed doing liver flushes? For example check out these beauties: http://curezone.com/image_gallery/cleanse_flush/rusfox/set3.asp When doing a flush, one of the most important ingredients we ingest is the 4 doses of epsom salt dissolved in water. Epsom salt is magnesium sulfate, and when we drink it the evening before and morning after the flush, the magnesium it contains relaxes the biliary ducts that connect the liver, gall bladder and small intestine, which allows stones of surprising size to move through them totally painlessly. It can also be helpful to drink apple juice or take malic acid prior to doing a flush, which helps to soften stones, making it even easier for them to pass through the bile ducts. You can also take chanca piedra, a South American herb also known as " stone breaker " for a while prior to doing a flush, which should help. Here's a link with more informationi about this herb: http://www.rain-tree.com/chanca.htm > > Since going to the first gastroenterologist, each time I have had a flare up, I have drank a mixture of 8oz of Apple Juice and 1/2 cup of Apple Cider Vinegar and after a short while of a different kind of uncomfortable pain, all was gone. Sore yes, but far better than at any other time. If I remember correctly, there are folks on this list who have drunk a dose or two of dissolved epsom salt during a gallstone flare up, and they've gotten relief from their pain quite quickly by doing this. > > My question to you good folks is this - is there any way that the gastroenterologist I am going to see tomorrow can tell what size my stones are from the ultrasound of them? I'm sorry, but I can't answer this question. Maybe someone else with more experience can help here? > > I do not know of any person around me that choose to do a cleanse(s) rather than an operation. So I stand alone and have no real people to talk to about this. Same here. I've never spoken to anyone in person who has done a flush. But after doing loads of research online and joining this group, I've done about 8 of these cleanses so far, and have never experienced any pain whatsoever during any of them. And I passed a whole big bunch of stones, sludge, gravel and grit too! There are a number of folks on this list who have overcome their gallbladder issues through using cleansing and other non-invasive methods, and who still have their organs intact. Why not read through the files and archives, ask lots of questions and take advantage of the wisdom and experience of the people in this group? > > I really do not want to have my gb taken out. > Then by all means, don't let anyone come at you with a knife and cut you open to slice an essential organ from your body! There are so many other options! It just means doing some research, being willing to be proactive and learning how to help your body's own healing wisdom and capabilities to kick in. You've already taken the first steps by doing things like shifting the way you eat, making an effort to reduce your stress load and setting healthy boundaries with your loved ones, so you're definitely heading in the right direction. > By my choices made, I caused much of my own suffering. I feel if I made myself sick - to an extent - then can't I help me to get better, without having to lose a body part that folks seem to think is okay to toss. > Yes! Most people have lost site of the fact that our bodies are actually working 24/7 to keep themselves healthy and running smoothly. They're designed with an amazing, transcendent intelligence for healing and regeneration that even we haven't yet begun to be able to fully comprehend with our own minds. However the vast majority of us spend much of our lives slowly but surely unconsciously sabotaging our body's innate wisdom and foiling its inborn ability to keep itself healthy and cleanse and heal itself. On level or another, many of us just don't take proper responsibility for our own health into our own hands. We often tend let our lifestyles run roughshod over our health - until one day our bodies start sending us signals that something is amiss. Chronic illness nothing more or less than a big a wake up call for most of us. It's our body's way of saying loud and clear, something is out of balance here! And if we don't wake up, heed our body's call and begin to take steps to restore that inner balance, well, then sometimes the maddest, most radical steps may end up being taken, such as slicing someone's body open with sharp implements and carving out their essential body parts! Personally I have no intention of ever going there. There are far, far too many other options available to all of us which are nourishing, healthful, holistic, cleansing and natural, and which support, encourage and strengthen the body's own remarkable intrinsic healing wisdom, rather than ignoring and thwarting it. Guest guest
I do not worry about the size of the stones, just do a cleanse correctly and the body will do the rest. From: AmeliaFeelzArt <Ameliaz@...> Subject: new member with a doctor app tomorrow afternoon gallstones Date: Tuesday, February 2, 2010, 2:34 PM Â Hello group, Tomorrow afternoon I am seeing a gastroenterologist for a 2nd opinion. In the month that I have waited to see him, I have changed much about the way I was eating and my stresses. I was able to just drop everything that was on my life's plate. I believe that I was eating darn good, it was mainly that i was eating very late and there were some things I could have done without. And happily am now. The family stresses are the same, but not also. I have been voicing my needs and setting more verbal boundaries, and all this has helped tremendously. I am also now eating about 3 hours before going to bed. I have been eating just fish and fish broth and drinking a lot of apple juice and having soft veggies. And just really been trying to rest a lot. All the doctors I have been to so far, have agreed that this was the best thing I could have done for myself. I had been having attacks for over a year's time. It's a long story. I have been worried more about the stones getting stuck during a cleanse. So I have continuously talked myself out of doing it. Is this something that any of you worried about before you did your cleanses? I do not know of any person around me that choose to do a cleanse(s) rather than an operation. Guest guest
I think I would ask for an MRI or scan, to see if that can pinpoint the stones and their size. I think that if you can keep eating a non fatty diet, and also get some gentle exercise like walking for ten minutes 3 times a day that you could probably shrink them. If they don't give you pain, there's really no reason to remove them. If the stones are large, they can't get into the bile duct, if they're very small some of them are passed in with the feces. I think the main thing is not to get railroaded to remove a body part unless it is absolutely necessary. <>Roni Immortality exists! It's called knowledge! Guest guest
Yeah Roni. The ultrasound should be able to give an indication of size, so there should not be need for magnetic or radiological exposure. The below advise is quite sensible to me, plus keep in mind that 80% of all gall stones are " silent " . Which means that those on this group who are here because of symptoms are only one fifth of the people who actually have gall stones. Also, you all are now making changes in your lives, the others are not because they are not aware they have a problem... HMMMM, that may mean that in some twisted distorted way, that your suffering may be a kind of " blessing " .
