Guest guest
Im gettin ready for a show this weekend too. Both Sat and Sun. Just have to get stuf together ready to go I guess. I think I am pretty much all set. This is the same show I did last spring called Cabin on the Lake. It starting to snow. I cant believe it . I feel like taking a nap. It sooo cold in the house. Still no heating guy. I started a fire in the woodstove and its kinda taking the edge off but it only heats the kitchen. Colleen I wish you luck with your show! Shaye Where is everyone? Geez, I get a day off and there isn't a soul on the pc. Usually you guys are chatty during the day when I'm not here. Oh well! So what's everyone been up to lately? I didn't make any soap this week at all. I've got a show tomorrow that I've never done. It's at a local high school. There's supposed to be about 200 handmade crafters. There is always lots of traffic too. Let's just hope they buy me out! I don't have a show next weekend, so I'll have two weeks to replenish stock if I need to. I'm still missing answers to the secret santa questions from Debbie Z., Kathy E., and Dee. Please get those to me asap so I can send everyone their info. Thanks! Guess I'd better go check on my kids since they've been quiet for more than 10 minutes. LOL! Talk to you all later! Guest guest
hmmm where am I? Sitting at our computer? Knitting a pair of mittens for a gift for a listmom... getting auctions ready to ship off... eBay and I are doing well again Had a lady win one of my foot care packs last week... she won another this week! Said the first was for a gift... in fact when I emailed her to see if the package arrived she hadn't even opened the box yet! I was getting worried because it had been a week since the box shipped priority and it should have been there...... I couldn't let a box sit like that! I received a wholesale inquiry and I'm working on that. They are more than willing to wait until after I've had surgery and get back to normal. My sister started taking stuff into work with her again. She sold all the candles I sent in.... 8 containers and 4-2 packs of votives in just 2 days. What else... orders ... out of the blue I'm getting decent orders through my website... on average the past few weeks of 3 a week... wooo hooo!! ok that s not a whole lot, but I did put a little bit of money into advertising a few weeks ago and I think it's paying off.... I've made my money back already! I've got another line on advertising and I may go with that one too after the first of the year. The lady who has ordered several times in the past few weeks emailed me and wants me to make up baskets for her to give as Christmas gifts. She's picking everything out that will go in them and I'm making them up and shipping them off to her. This will be fun! I love putting basket together. All this just when I was going to close the website down because I'm calling Monday to set up my surgery! LOL Without a doubt I will have to shut it down at some point... I just have to work in there somehow. Not looking forward to closing down just when the busy season is hitting and website orders have picked up though. hmmmm anyone want a job?? hehe j/k but I have thought about trying to talk the hubby into helping. Then I woke up and realized it was just a dream! LOL Seems like everyday now I'm making product... except for today.. I was a bum ... even dozed off in the afternoon! That's me and what I'm doing.... Ohhh I've been waiting and waiting all week on a call back about our T.E.A.M CNY fund from BC.... I called and left a message and havn' heard back. I finally emailed the owner of BC today to let her know we have $80.00 to add to the BC Bucks fund for Stefi. I'll keep you posted on it. Guest guest
Dear Everyone, Hi there! Sorry that I haven't posted in ages. How are you doing? Well, I hope! It's only 31 outside here right now ... brrr! :-( Looks like a pretty day, though. Jeff and I are spending the day cleaning ~ with both of us working outside the home now, it feels like evenings and weekends are the only times when I can get cleaning done. We've popped in a load of laundry and are working our way through our apartment, straightening up and dusting everything. What fun, huh? Our neighbors are coming over for dinner tonight, so we want to make sure that everything looks nice. I have our dining room table set up in a fall theme ~ hope they enjoy it! I haven't made any soap or bath and body stuff in SO long. Now that I have this new job, I feel like I've barely had time to do anything! I'm tired in the evenings, and plus it's stressful getting used to a new position. I feel like I'm getting into the groove more with everything, though ~ gradually. I think that I will like this new job. I traveled to Cobleskill, NY yesterday with my boss, which was kind of nerve-wracking. But it went just fine. I just placed two orders for more soapmaking supplies (I was completely out of lye and soap base!). I can't wait to get started on Christmas gifts. Oh, I gave some bath and body stuff (mostly lavender ~ bath teabags, soap, washcloth, bath pouf, bath salts, etc.) to one of my coworkers to congratulate her on making it through her first week of work (she's new, too, like me). She loved everything! She gave me a big hug when she opened her gift ~ she really enjoyed it. I am so glad when I can make others smile! I plan to make a big bath and body gift basket for my mom for Christmas this year. She doesn't take baths, so it will be a challenge to come up with things. I'm thinking body sugar scrub, a lotion bar, lip balm, etc. I also plan to make some cotton blossom things for my cousin Carolyn ~ that's her favorite scent. I can't wait to use all of these FOs that I just bought from Colleen! :-D So that's what I've been up to. Take care, everyone! ~nne in Albany http://lvjensen.blogspot.com/

Guest guest
Hi Caroline, We are busy writing out "sorry" cards to our doctors. Truth to tell, I'm sure that the rhuemy I left after more than a decade meant well. He just got frustrated..not so much with me..but the Stills disease. It frustrates us, why wouldn't it frustrate our doctor's sometimes too? Also, I feel that most doctors are overworked. The ones I know of are. For the most part. most of them are trying their best to help all of their patients...Stills patients included. It is true however that the doctor can be a very good doctor, and the patient a very good person..*but,* they still have a personality clash. That happens with all humans..whether they be doctors, patients, lawyers, plumbers, husbands, wives, etc. That is one thing that keeps life from being boring I guess, is that all are different, and don't always agree on everything. When that happens it is probably best for the patient and the doctor..to move on. Just heard on the news the other night that there is such a shortage of nurses in the U.S. That means the ones who are nurses have to work extra hours to try to keep up with the number of patients, and they are overworked and overtired. This is sad, because we appreciate the nurses being there for us when we need them. This shortage is nothing new, as we have known it for years, but it seems as if it is getting even worse. That is sad. Here one of our members Dave (from Florida) wants to be a nurse and he's to sick to even think about going to college right now. Hoping everyone is having a good day! from sunny, cool, Wisconsin, Tricia & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & & -- Where is everyone? Hi guys, Just a note on the "doctor bashing" topic. We have all done it, me included. Sometimes it's quite justified. No body is in trouble, no one is blaming anyone else. It's sort of like taking a new drug and the doctor says "no alcohol". It's just a simple change from your normal daily life...it may take a bit of getting used to but it's for your health's benefit. We are beginning to get the attention of a LOT of those in the medical field. This is what we want right? To get recognised and researched and helped? So we give up a vice for the benefit of the health of the support group. It's not a bad thing, just different. So, on that note... Where is everybody? I miss you guys. Smiles, Caroline (Beautiful Southern Oregon, USA) We may not be able to change the direction of the wind, but we can adjust our sails. May you have enough happiness to make you kind, enough trials to make you strong, enough sorrow to keep you human, enough hope to make you happy. ____________________________________________________ IncrediMail - Email has finally evolved - Click Here

Guest guest
Dear , Didn't you get the notice. It is tax depression holiday season. All of those who waited till the last minute have crammed the air ways phone lines etc with calls for elp which has stopped the country dead in its tracks. Seriously, I for one have had the flu again and so had all my family. The little grandchildren have been so sick thqat they put the baby in the hospital. Hoping we have turned the corner as m trip is getting near and I am having serious doubts if I will be able to go. This flu has played hell on my Achylshia ( I must learn to spell that correctly) I am not sure which end to catch anymore. Only good news is I lost 14 pounds in 4 days, but the bad part is the muscle weakness. I am here just in deep thought and concentration trying to decide on this surgery or not and wanting to feel good enough to take this trip with my friend to see her daughtr married Sharon in Ohio

" Inger was my first moderator who went on to do her own autism charity work. (She also designed the color schemes for all the FAM forums.) She is no longer a member here and is pretty much unavailable for talking to, though I have gotten a brief e-mail from her a month or two ago regarding a former member related matter we were working together on. For those of you who are wondering, she is doing fine, although she been taking care of her mother, who has been ill.
