A couple of months ago I happened to catch an interview on the radio with

Dr. Cass Ingram, author of Eat Right 4 your Metabolic Type. It intrigued me

enough to go to the library and wait for them to get it so I could read it.

It has completely blown me away. It is not very well written and he repeats

himself often, but the information is mind boggling. Once I found my

metabolic type, it was as if he was describing me in the book, from head to

toe, top to bottom. I was totally shocked. BTW, Dave (in this group) has

done this before with his knowledge of ayurvedic medicine. I don't throw

everything in one basket, but look at the big picture from different " takes "

on how we can be grouped based on numerous factors. Ironically, the book

suggested some things that I had already figured out. I do very well on

dairy, high cholesterol/ fat food, like milk, yogurt, ice cream, butter,

cheese, etc. (My cholesterol has been historically low). I cannot handle

many grains. But a few things I've not done is get enough red meat, as well

as eat more fruit rather than veggies (which is suggested in the book). It

also said to put sea salt on EVERYTHING. Yes, I know that it sounds like

this man wants to kill people. The good thing about me is that I can tell

rather quickly how my body responds to anything new. I haven't read the

suggestions for the other metabolic types, but I do suggest you check out

the book and read it for yourself. When someone can describe me like that

and practically know what's in my brain, I'm going to listen and try some

things out! Perhaps some dietary advice that you've been given is contrary

to what you should be eating.

Have a blessed day!
