Guest guest
There are inumerable ways to work on cleaning and supporting liver/gallbladder besides oils. Liver detoxifying herbs and cholegagues (bile movers) are some. Herbs that come to mind are gentian, coptis, yellow dock, etc. -D no oil Hello folks, I read your posts relative to " no oil " ... thank you. My views on no oil may change. For now I am basing my diet largely on Dr Ornish's Reversing Heart Disease guidelines. 10% of calories from fat, no avocados or oil. No nuts. In addition, as a personal choice, I eat 90% raw live foods. I hear what is said about Dr E. I must read his book. btw... I had arteries that were in really bad shape, clogged...they are now clean..heart disease CAN be reversed. Even the tech who took my ECG said she could not get over the change....like a different man... than previous tests. Now I want to clean my liver and gall bladder from residues, stones. I am trying a castor oil pack today. Apparently that can help. All of the best, thank you for the feedback,

Guest guest
Well, I am thinking of what is called a 5 day program: 1 tbsp of olive oil blended with a peeled lemon and half a cup of water on an empty stomach in the morning..5 days in a row. On the other hand.. apparently, malic acid from apple cider vinegar will dissolve all stones, kidney, liver etc as well as calcium deposits that cause joint pain. Trying options, > > > Hello folks, > > > > I read your posts relative to " no oil " ... thank you. My views on no oil may change. Guest guest
, The half cup of Olive oil required for a regular flush might be a bit much for someone like myself who typically only consumes a total of 27 grams of fat a day. > > > Hello folks, > > > > I read your posts relative to " no oil " ... thank you. Guest guest
I make a " liver tea " I call HST. Holy Sh!t Tea. It starts with: Holy Thistle (Cut/Sifted) Blessed Thistle (Cut/Sifted) Milk Thistle Seeds (Ground) Marshmallow Leaves (Cut/Sifted) The recipe also calls for Persimmon leaves and Malva leaves, which I buy in teabags and steep with the mixture above for as long as I can (a day) in a quart of boiling water. Lately, I've been getting creative: Licorice root, burdock root, dandelion root add interesting flavors and are known to help the liver. Dried hibiscus and caledula flowers impart nutrients that coat the lining of the gut - something we all could use - especially if you're eating no fat! I make sure all my herbs and root are certified organic. An interesting read on oil and fat: http://www.westonaprice.org/knowyourfats/oiling.html As a side note, I'd like to say I had a VERY successful flush - and anyone who thinks those pebble/round balls floating in the potty are gallstones or liver stones should rethink what they swallowed 10 hours prior. There's no mistake that all those floaty things are what your guts did to the 1/2c. of olive oil from the protocol (don't ask me how I know, but my nose was involved). At first I thought it was a very good lesson in self induced diarrhea. I've resumed my dieting protocol, which consists mostly of grassfed animal meats/fats, raw egg shooters, beet kvass, whole raw young coconut and the water, HST, lots of yerba mate with the occasional bite of grassfed butter and I'm down another seven pounds in 10 days. I'm also taking a Reishi tincture, which I believe keeps stress levels and immunity in check. Keeping calories low, but fat high and an amazing digestive tract seems to be my prana. -vanessa --- In gallstones , " Dave Shelden " <wholehealthawareness@...> wrote: > > There are inumerable ways to work on cleaning and supporting liver/gallbladder besides oils. Guest guest
After I ran away from gall bladder removal last May, 2006, I've never had any gallstone attack ever since. One of the reasons why I'm enjoying still my gall bladder today, and with no gallstone attack is because, I've been evading from eating oily foods. However, these past few months, whenever, I stumble on eating an oily food, all I do is drink HOT WATER after eating. I've read this technique from an article in the Internet, that the reason why there's less Chinese who have gallstones, in spite of the fact that most of their foods are oily is because they drink HOT TEA or hot water, during and after their meals. The reason behind this drinking of HOT TEA or hot water is to liquify the oil substace in their system, and would not stuck-up in their intestines or gall bladders.  I'm not a good drinker of tea. So, I substituted it with drinking HOT COFFEE, after eating oily foods whenever I'm at home. I've also read from an article here in the Internet, that qouted a NEW YORK TIMES article that coffee is good for controlling gallstone development on men who drink coffee.  On regular basis, however, even if I don't eat oily food on my meal, I always drink pure apple juice during and after the meal. I've always pointed out in this group, that this is actually the main reason why I have no more gallstone attacks now. I've also read this idea from the Internet that pure apple juice controls development of gallstone. And in fact, liquified probably the remaining gallstones in my gall bladder, and was washed out already through my regular drinking of apple juice.  Blueprints of Success: There's One for Your Dream                         - Jess Guim - New York City, USA  From: changjun@... <changjun@...> Subject: no oil gallstones Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 1:06 PM  Hello folks, I read your posts relative to " no oil " ... thank you. Guest guest
Coffee contains chologeric acids. These are very stimulating chologagues (bile stimulants). Apple juice contains malic acid which acts as a bile acid. While not a fan of oily foods, the human system is built to handle fats. The reason you have a gallbladder. It is about quality of fats amongst a lot of other things. Hope Dale will pipe in about the amounts of fats in his diet and a hint as to the last time he had a gallbladder attack... Over a decade Dale? no oil gallstones <mailto:gallstones%40> Date: Wednesday, November 18, 2009, 1:06 PM Hello folks, I read your posts relative to " no oil " ... thank you. Guest guest
Yes sir, Dave, as of October the 23 it has been ten years since my last attack which was a liver attack rather than a gallbladder. My gallbladder was void of stones and no longer thick. I attribute much of my success upon Dr. Cabot’s books having to do with a liver and gallbladder diet which allows the intake of lots of fats. BUT!!!! Not just any fats. The fats I take in are those containing essential fatty acids and are not hydrogenated. I seek it every time I look at a menu in a restaurant or when eating at home. OR, I seek out foods that will be rich in essential fatty acids. I am quite sure that the no oil diet really is an essential fatty acids diet based upon taking in more greens, legumes, and other vegetables rich in essential fatty acids along with fruits, and what I would call an ignorant avoidance of nuts and avocados of which are loaded with essential fatty acids but have saturated fats too. I have not read the book that has been presented here relative to a no oil diet but can only assume that is the case. Either way it is imperative that the liver gets essential fatty acids from some source. Now here is the simple side of this story. After I had my last attack which was of the liver I found out it was because I had stuck to such a stringent diet of fat avoidance that I had started to damage my liver. My studies into this lead me to Dr. Cabot, The Liver Doctor, and her book “The Liver Cleansing Dietâ€. I devoured the book and then started eating lots of oily foods. In fact, I started carrying around a bottle of primrose oil to take during the day. I had flaxseed oil of which I would drink maybe a table spoons worth straight from the bottle whenever my body craved it. I would seek out just about any oil that contained essential fatty acids and have it along with my other food stuffs, all of which were to feed the liver what it needed to make me the best bile I could which in turn made the best cholesterol it could. It turned into a win, win, situation in that I was able to enjoy food again and get healthy doing so. What was really interesting to me is how my body craved it when I first started taking the oils and especially the primrose oil. Now though, things have pretty much settled out and I eat quite normal these days but I do live by a different food standard. People are certainly welcome to do a diet void of oils but in the long run when you look at the foods being consumed chances are really good that it isn’t as void of oils and essential fatty acids as may be thought. I would take a really good guess that the foods eaten will be void of saturated fats such as you would get eating bacon or prime rib but do contain various amounts of essential fatty acids or even good saturated fats like those in nuts and avocados. The best way to take note of a saturated fat is that it coagulates much like the top surface fat on cooled bacon grease. As for the full story of Dale, it is posted on the Cure Zone site and the files area of the Gallstones group. It is a composite of my postings made into an interview by the owner of the Gallstones site.
