Non functioning gallbladder

The doctor told me my gallbladder does not function anymore and advised me to

have it removed. He said, " It will rot in the sack if you don't have it out now

and it will then take major surgery to get it out. "

Well I saw an MRI image of my gallbladder and it did not look shriveled up. It

looked like a long fat curved sausage with a kind of nipple on the end.

Anyone out their know anything about non-functioning gallbladders and how to get

them working right again?
