It's very hard and sad to see someone you love suffering, I know. But if she's in hospital now, there's probably nothing much you can do for her in terms of holistic approaches, except to offer her your love and support. If she herself doesn't want to tell you what's going on with her, maybe it's just best to be with her just as she as best you can, and be there for her in whatever way she needs, and try not to spend any energy on attempting to " do " anything for her besides just being her caring and supportive friend. > >I have a preop assessment for a gallbladder operation next week > Here you are on the gallstones forum, which is totally focused on the many different holistic steps you can take to help save your gallbladder from being removed surgically! Have you looked into doing some liver/GB flushes, or perhaps taking some AF Beta tablets by Standard Process, or maybe taking some liver supportive herbs like milk thistle, dandelion or chanca piedra? There's a tremendous amount of really helpful information and resources upon which you can draw by doing searches of the archived messages and reading through the group's files and links sections: gallstones/files/ gallstones/links I can't encourage you enough to start taking some proactive steps now to help save your gallbladder and get yourself well by pursuing the most natural, holistic paths to wellness you can find! Guest guest
What causes hydrocephalus? The causes of hydrocephalus are still not well understood. Hydrocephalus may result from inherited genetic abnormalities (such as the genetic defect that causes aqueductal stenosis) or developmental disorders (such as those associated with neural tube defects including spina bifida and encephalocele). Other possible causes include complications of premature birth such as intraventricular hemorrhage, diseases such as meningitis, tumors, traumatic head injury, or subarachnoid hemorrhage, which block the exit of CSF from the ventricles to the cisterns or eliminate the passageway for CSF into the cisterns. Date: Wednesday, January 13, 2010, 10:49 AM  My friend who i advised had fluid on the brain a few days ago has not responded to steroids or antibiotics and is now being transferred to Addenbrookes Hospital in Cambridge. I have health problems myself but keep in contact with her family about her.. Her mum wouldn't tell me tonight what they think is wrong with her, although we have been friends since schooldays. This has upset me a lot, Graham my partner is really cross as he said I get too involved with people. I went to see an old lady yesterday who I have been visiting for several years as a befriender and she is not at all well either. I have lost both my parents now too. What do you think can cause fluid on the brain and what can be done for her? I have a preop assessment for a gallbladder operation next week, I do have breathing problems so this may be a problem. I don't like thinking about my problems, have always tried to help people worse off, I have been very upset tonight about my friend, and not knowing what is happening, she won't even tell me herself! I look forward to your comments. Liz
