Guest guest
Are you getting an acid taste in your throat or mouth? I am a big believer in a small dose of apple cider vinegar daily either straight or mixed in a drink. From: whu37@... <whu37@...> Subject: stress, gb irritation disturbing sleep gallstones Date: Saturday, July 31, 2010, 3:25 PM Â Ultrasound detected small polyps in my gallbladder in 2003. Was advised to get operation, but decided against. I don't think I have ever had a " gallbladder attack " - just on and off low level irritation. In 2009 and 2010 I have had several months on and off w/no notable symptoms. In the last 6 weeks or so I get a low level mild burning sensation on the right side just below my ribs. When lying down at night this can interfere w/sleep. Worry and stress seems to increase this. Ginger tea seems to relax me and reduce it. Recently work has been stressful , and on top of that my father died unexpectedly; that seems to have intensified my symptoms. I'm otherwise healthy, not over weight, eat sensibly etc. I have been lurking, reading this list for years - thanks for all the tips. I fit the male stereotype of not liking doctor visits. In the last 5 years or so I did get a comprehensive blood test to check liver function, and all levels were acceptable. It's been at least a year since my last physical. Any advice on what should be checked? My sense is bringing all the symptoms to the attention of a doctor will trigger a recommendation for GB surgery - I would prefer to keep mine. Guest guest
I take Bragg Organic A.C.Vinegar ( 1 oz. cut w/ 1oz. water ) 20 minutes before each meal. Works wonders, along with 2 yearly gallbladder flushes. Don't settle for anything except the high quality, organic, raw, unfiltered with the " mother " vinegar.......cheap cheap !! Also, DON'T over eat.              best. Guest guest
Recommend you get another full physical and be upfront with your MD- u are the one making the decisions - it does not matter what they think or recommend- u remain in control - question and verify and get 2nd and 3rd opinions if u must and consult this and other groups till u are satisfied - so do not hold anything back and see how the tests come back? Do u eat a lot of meat? regular exercise? you must be familiar with AF Beta tablets if you are familiar with this site milk thistle is also your friend- as is the apple cider vinegar but exercise is as important as anything you take as is eating a lot of raw and cooked vegetables and small portions of fruit - I have found that reducing animal protein and substituting it with beans helps a lot- you may also want to consider curtailing dairy- strongly recommend and white flour - stopping for a while wold be better, and consuming only organic, sustainably raised products you may want to keep a log of everything you eat for a while and compare it to when u have symptoms and you are correct in thinking to keep your GB - my doctor wanted to remove mine 12 years ago - still have it and have never done a flush and been pain free for years - I changed my diet- lost weight, regular exercise (jogging, swim & yoga) - and recently went vegetarian- I am looking at doing a flush very soon though- by the way AF Beta tablets were a tremendous help in the early stages- in being proactive you will accomplish what is right for you good luck On Jul 31, 2010, at 3:25 PM, whu37@... wrote: > Ultrasound detected small polyps in my gallbladder in 2003. > Was advised to get operation, but decided against. > > I don't think I have ever had a " gallbladder attack " - > just on and off low level irritation. > > In 2009 and 2010 I have had several months on and off w/no > notable symptoms. > > In the last 6 weeks or so I get a low level mild burning sensation > on the right side just below my ribs. Guest guest
So sorry to hear about your loss. That certainly makes everything else pale in comparison. Your gallbladder sounds painful. No matter the health problem, stress is the #1 contributor to making it worse (or causing the problem in the first place.) All of your life circumstances do sound very stressful, so drinking ginger tea and other calming foods/drinks (such as chamomile -- calming and good for the gallbladder) is a great idea, as is focusing on all of the great things you DO have in life. That usually helps stress as well. With all of this said, there are some other remedies that may help your gallbladder feel better: Diet: There are some diet changes you can make that may help, such as adding in apples, artichokes, turmeric, fiber, and eating less animal fats (milk and dairy). Gallbladder cleanse: Conducting gallbladder cleanses/flushes has helped me manage my gallstones. You may try this out, even though your diagnosis is polyps. You may have gallstones or sludge in your gallbladder as well. Check out some additional resources: * www.gallbladderhelp.com has numerous articles on gallbladder diets, flushes, etc. * Ezine article that goes into depth on some good foods to add to your gallbladder diet: http://ezinearticles.com/?Natural-Diet-For-Gallstones---The-Top-5-Foods-to-Reduc\ e-Your-Gallstone-Symptoms-and-Pain & id=4580040 * Ezine article that explains which fats you should eat and which you should avoid for your gallbladder: http://ezinearticles.com/?Natural-and-Healthy-Gallbladder-Diets---What-Kind-of-F\ ats-Are-the-Best-to-Eat? & id=4711325 I hope this helps and " to your health!
