Guest guest
Hi All, I just did my 4th flush. I want to provide more info and an update about the results of my 4th flush. Then, I have some Q's. I have already received some offline responses to my previous emails and am very thankful for the help I've been getting. Regards, Grace Additional info: * The juicing diet I went on Mar-June was 100% juicing with a salad w/ nuts and seeds. A typical day would involve juice of 4lb apples, 2lb beets, 4lemons, 1.5lb cabbage. 1.5lb pear, 1lb carrot, 1lb cucumber. I did the diet based on rec of an NP and I went for it because I read about the benefits of juicing and going on a plant based diet. Despite no improvement, I persisted with 50-75% juicing Jul-Sept and I added Dave Shelden's recs (lecithin, plant oils, chanca piedra or dandelion, boldo or peppermint) and oatmeal/bran for fiber. In Aug, I wondered if juicing contributed to the pain, since there was a temporal relationship, esp with carrots/pears/cucumber combo, so I stopped that. I also stopped cabbage and beets since I was told they could make the liver sensitive. But, I continued with lots of apples, mainly because of Moritz support for apple juice. In Aug, I also added a lot of greens like chard, spinach, kale, after reading Boutenko books. By Sept, I could not deny the fact that there was more pain when I had greens with apple juice, but less/no pain when I did greens with other fruits such as grapes, papaya, and watermelon. But, I did the apple juice regimen last week anyways, in prep for my 4th flush. * I never had extreme attacks (the kind where you just want to go to the ER) until I started taking Spirulina/Clorella in March, often on empty stomach, and often in conjunction with bee pollen and chanca piedra. I noticed the attacks always happened about 1/2 hour after I took the Spirulina/Chlorella. I stopped the Spirulina/Clorella around July/August, and have not had another extreme attack since. * I tried taking taurine several times based on rec from Shelden and but it always seemed to bring on pain. I really tried to add it to my regular regimen but could not sustain it and had to quit each time. 4th flush: * procedure details: instead of colonic prior to flush like previous flushes, I did Colosan prior to flush instead; I also used a different brand of olive oil; I used apple juice, chanca piedra, and boldo as prep. * results: much different from first 3 flushes - a lot less green floating stones; also, colonic showed nothing but fecal matter in first 3 flushes, but in 4th flush, saw green stones, many tiny black stones, and lots of green or green-tan liquidy stuff - not sure if they are sludge; don't know if the difference is due to the fact it's 4th flush, or that I did the procedure differently, or both. * regarding pain: did flush on Sat nite, and had some soreness on Sun and Mon morn, but not yet the outright pain I experienced after the first 3 flushes; really need to wait through this week to see if there is indeed improvement in pain. Questions: * What does that mean, I that I seem to have more pain w/ apple juice, spirulina, taurine? Does that even make sense? I thought apple juice can only be good for you. I heard spirulina can give you a detox effect but how is it that I still had attacks from it after taking it for 4+ months? I have not heard of people getting pains from taurine? * Could have the juicing been overkill and in fact contributed to the pain? Things may have gotten better since I started to the plant oils/lecithin/fibers, though I feel I need more time to be sure. (I have more Q's, but will send them another time.)
