OUR immune system begins in our gut so the probiotic is very important to keep the immune system working properly!steve brewer <brewmon2003@...> wrote: Sheena, The article I read from "Integrative Interventions" says if there's no date stamped on the bottle,or has to be refridgerated don't buy it. Well Hello Stranger! Where the heck have you been? We've missed you! Don't do that again!TeriFrom: "schandler21@..." <schandler21@...> Sent: Sun, May 16, 2010 12:24:22 AMSubject: [ ] Beth -

Beth,It's frustrating, to say the least... When I was in treatment, one of my nurses was very open with me, we had that kind of energy. She told me bluntly that during treatment, for many patients it seemed to be a race - which died first, the virus or the recipient. Now most of us have good enough medical staff and enough common sense that we're not going to die first, but it's frustrating that we're poisoning ourselves to cure ourselves. I can say that overall, when treatment is completed and you've SVR it was all worth it. Before and during it's so hard to justify, but the alternative usually isn't something we were willing to accept, or we wouldn't be in treatment in the first place. It comes down to what Don refers back to so often...we've got the disease, and if

we can treat it, whether through herbs and supplements or big pharma or burning candles on a full moon standing on our heads, we love life enough that we'll whip the dragon whenever we can...SteveLife is much more fun when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. Thanks for your suggestions. I have chnaged my diet many times. I have at one

time or another eliminated all foods and food types but no difference was found.

I have been tested 3 times for H Pylori but it was negative.

Nothing alleviates my nausea despite trying many anti-emetic drugs.

My pancreas has been checked by abdominal ultrasound, CT scan, endoscopic

ultrasound and a faecal elastase test and was found to be normal.

I have been searching online for 2 years to find others with similar symptoms

and I have come across a few people. For those that have found relief the cause

of their symptoms has been ruled out on me.

So I am still searching. Still wondering if my gallbladder may not be working

properly despite the abscence of the classic pain and depsite the absence of

stones or sludge.

Missy,

Welcome, and just know you've found a safe place. If you need to vent, or have questions, or just need to talk to some folks that can identify with you, this is the right place.

Realize that you're going to hear the mantra over and over and over...

Water, meds, rest, eat, water, meds, rest, eat...and continue to breathe in and out regularly!

Steve,

Thank you so much and yes I am reading and keeping up with everyone. I am giving it all I have, but as I said before I feel bad sometimes complaining about my sides because there are so many out there struggling worse than I. I know its weird to feel that way, but I do. I need to drink more water, I know that has a lot to do with my having such a hard time with my sides. But everything tastes like metal, so I can't eat or drink as much as I was. I am trying though, because I can feel how dehydrated I am. Thanks again for your support and glad to see your comments again.

Life is much more fun when thought of as a scavenger hunt as opposed to a surprise party. Jimmy Buffett [ ] MIA - Updating - you whoooooo Cheryl

Hi all,

I have been MIA for many reasons, mostly due to the rash that I have been struggling with. It was seriously taking over my life. My gastro took me off the Ribavirin for about 2 weeks and gave me a cream that helped greatly. I have been having tough sides lately, my weekends are spent in bed crying and struggling to understand why I feel so bad. Then I get mad at myself for crying when there are people who are so much more worse off than me. I just did my week 12 shot Friday and will see my doctor next week to see how my blood work looks. The procrit has really helped me to have energy during the week so I can continue to work. Its expensive but having the energy back for the week days has been a blessing. Today my daughter gets to see the new gastro and we will see what she has to say. I just hope she can wait til the new tx is out, I can't imagine her going through this for 48 weeks. Half of that would be doabl e I think for her, but we will see what she says today.

I try to read as much of the posts as I can so I can keep up with everyone, but with my hectic schedule its been tough to correspond like the rest of you do.

Thanks for checking on us that are MIA, it means a lot since I feel so alone in this fight.

Hope everyone has a great week!

Thank you Steve,

I've done about 45 rounds on ALA/DMSA but it still messes up my sleep.

It's also a considerable energy drain dosing so much with my memory problems.

I'll have to look around for a holistic doctor that would prescribe the 8

hour chelator. How much of it do you take in a dose? I currently do 100mgs

of ALA/50mgs DMSA.

Do you feel it would still benefit me having done 45 rounds of the

ALA/DMSA?

Thanks again,

/Rosegvr
