I would take a spoon full of organic  apple cider vinegar 2 times a day.  Also

take some if you feel an 'attack' coming on.  It should help.

Where do you feel you pain when an 'attack' start?  And how long is it?

Subject: Need help - want to do the flush - 19 weeks pregnant

gallstones

Date: Thursday, April 22, 2010, 10:17 PM

OK, so I've been reading on here for 10 weeks while having 6 attacks

during that period. I've been afraid to try the flush b/c I'm pregnant. My

naturopathic dr. said it is too hard on the body during pregnancy, but at this

point I am actually considering surgery b/c this is too painful and I am hardly

able to eat anything w/o having an attack. I am not gaining weight, getting

little nutrition and no protein which can't be good for the baby. Once I went

to the hospital to get pain med's b/c it was so bad and they gave me a shot of

morphine. Well that isn't good for the baby either. I can hardly breathe

during the attacks and I can imagine how much worse that's going to be when I

get further along in the pregnancy. However, I have MANY questions, if anyone

wants to bear with me. They did confirm 2 calcified stones via ultrasound but

they never told me how big they were. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound in

the next two weeks but I don't

think I want to wait that long. Hopefully, I can do the flush first and it

will confirm that there are no longer stones. :)

1. There are many different varieties of flushes out there. I'm not sure which

one to use. I have a sensitive stomach so I'm afraid I'm going to throw up. If

I take Coke, it will likely keep me awake at night, but that may be my best

option as I really miss my Coke.

2. Do I do one without epsom salts? I have just had two colon hydrotherapy

sessions done and have one more scheduled. I'm hoping this helps clear the way

for the stones to get out quicker. Does this mean I don't have to do an enema

or the epsom salt drinks before the flush since I've done the colon

hydrotherapy? I just had one done two days ago and haven't gone to the bathroom

yet. I had a gallstone attack 2 hours after the colon cleanse. Not sure what

that means. I would think it would be best to do the liver flush a couple days

after a colon cleanse, but do I need to take 5 days to prep of eating apples and

apple juice? I do eat about one apple a day and about 16 oz of apple juice a

day for the last two months. I'd like to do the flush right away but don't know

if now I need to wait to eat all the apples first. I don't feel comfortable

doing an enema on myself. Maybe I should wait until after my next colon

hydrotherapy? I had a friend who

expelled stones during her 6th colon hydrotherapy but she also was taking herbs

to help eliminate the stones, which cannot be taken during pregnancy.

3. Is it necessary to do a whole 2 cups of olive oil? Can you do less than

this and still expel stones?

4. Do you experience gallstone like attacks during the time you are waiting to

expel the stones?

5. Why do some people feel like they have the flu after the flushes? Some say

they feel much better right away.

6. My naturopath said I have parasites but I can't find a natural parasite

cleanse that is safe during pregnancy. Anyone know of one? Can I do the flush

without doing a parasite cleanse first? I thought I had read that you have to

do the parasite cleanse first or the flush may not be effective.

7. Once I do the flush, am I going to be able to eat more freely? I will still

eat no red meat and I am GFCF(gluten and dairy free), but I'd love to be able to

eat organic chicken, some soy, chocolate, sugar, occassional Coke, etc. again

and some occassional red meat if possible.

8. After the flush, will I be free of gallstone attacks, or will I still be

just as susceptible if I don't stay on the very restricted diet? My whole aim

is to eliminate the stones and the attacks and be able to eat more foods. I'm

just not getting enough nutrition and enough food while pregnant. I do exercise

and I am not overweight. I am underweight. However, diet, exercise, supp's are

still not preventing attacks. I have choline, Beta food, disodium phosphate, vit

C, prenatals, aloe vera juice, digestive enzymes, probiotics, liver cleansing

teas, chamomile tea, etc. I don't take all of those all the time b/c I was

afraid they were causing the attacks, but I have them.

9. Has anyone done the flush and not passed stones? Just wondering what the

failure rate was on doing the flush wrong. I'm afraid I'm going to do it wrong.

10. What was the recovery like for most of you? Were you sick for a couple

days following the flush? I have 3 young kids to take care of. I will have

someone here for at least the next day. My youngest tends to wake up in the

middle of the night and wake me up which will be a pain.

11. And lastly, what in the world do you all do during an attack to ease the

pain? I've been taking a hot bath and that helps some. I also took Tylenol and

aloe vera juice but not sure if it helped or not. Still lasted over an hour. I

did try drinking apple cider vinegar with apple juice but it just made me throw

up a few times. My dr. prescribed Levbid which helps stop the gallbladder from

contracting but I haven't picked it up yet. I hate to take anything while

pregnant and not sure if it would help or not.

Thanks for reading. If anyone has any answers, I would love to hear them. My

husband's birthday is Saturday so I hate to do it tomorrow night, but maybe I'll

try it Saturday night. I want these stupid stones out one way or another. I

have to think a flush would be less painful than surgery. Thanks so much for

any help.

I tried that once. It didn't work. I just put about 2 TB of ACV in about 4

oz of apple juice and took two drinks of it. I also drank about 8 oz of

water and a little bit of some liver friendly tea (dandelion, milk thistle,

all that stuff) In a few minutes, I was throwing up a few times. I can't

stand the smell and taste of ACV, plus I'm pregnant so that prob makes it

worse. The pain is right in the middle between my ribs and lasts about an

hour to an hour and a half.

have u tried af beta tablets from standard process they usually do the

trick- I have taken up to 4 have heard people in this group have taken

more- search archives but get them asap

do not believe yeast is bad or effects

but if u are cutting out animal protein ( which is a good idea) YOU

NEED to supplement with nutritional yeast for your B vitamins being

pregnant doubly important you get your proper supplements!

also milk thistle will help

drink plenty of water add lemon juice and table spoon of apple cider

vinegar - u will get used to the taste - I did - add extra lemon to

mask vinegar

good luck

PS

also exercise and spend quiet time alone - no reading or thinking or

tv or radio- blank 20 to 30 minutes a day twice a day - u will be

pleasantly surprised at the results till then stay calm- it will all

be ok - stress is worse than any GB problem

Hi Sheri~I feel for you......here is a link that will answer all your ?'s and

more;

http://curezone.com/faq/p/s.asp?a=28,571,2826 & s=21

Good luck,

herbladie

PS  I've never done 2 cups of olive oil,  1/2 c. is plenty :)

Also,  my chiro told me once to use suppositories for short term if you can't

go #2.  Two days is way too long and all that 'crap' will back up in to the

bloodstream and make you feel sick.  I'm sure you're drinking lots of water?

Drinking apple juice will soften the stones.  Mix it with water if you have

insulin problems,  but just get it down for 5 days straight.  I always do

hydrotherapy one time b 4 a cleanse and two times after.  You don't want the

stones hanging out in your colon very long.  Might be good to do some light

senna tea, or laxative tea, to keep the colon cleansing,  especially if you're

constipated.  Lots of probiotics, too, or water kefir. Good luck!

OK, so I've been reading on here for 10 weeks while having 6 attacks during that

period. I've been afraid to try the flush b/c I'm pregnant. My naturopathic dr.

said it is too hard on the body during pregnancy, but at this point I am

actually considering surgery b/c this is too painful and I am hardly able to eat

anything w/o having an attack. I am not gaining weight, getting little nutrition

and no protein which can't be good for the baby. Once I went to the hospital to

get pain med's b/c it was so bad and they gave me a shot of morphine. Well that

isn't good for the baby either. I can hardly breathe during the attacks and I

can imagine how much worse that's going to be when I get further along in the

pregnancy. However, I have MANY questions, if anyone wants to bear with me. They

did confirm 2 calcified stones via ultrasound but they never told me how big

they were. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound in the next two weeks but I

don't think I want to wait that long. Hopefully, I can do the flush first and it

will confirm that there are no longer stones. :)

1. There are many different varieties of flushes out there. I'm not sure which

one to use. I have a sensitive stomach so I'm afraid I'm going to throw up. If I

take Coke, it will likely keep me awake at night, but that may be my best option

as I really miss my Coke.

2. Do I do one without epsom salts? I have just had two colon hydrotherapy

sessions done and have one more scheduled. I'm hoping this helps clear the way

for the stones to get out quicker. Does this mean I don't have to do an enema or

the epsom salt drinks before the flush since I've done the colon hydrotherapy? I

just had one done two days ago and haven't gone to the bathroom yet. I had a

gallstone attack 2 hours after the colon cleanse. Not sure what that means. I

would think it would be best to do the liver flush a couple days after a colon

cleanse, but do I need to take 5 days to prep of eating apples and apple juice?

I do eat about one apple a day and about 16 oz of apple juice a day for the last

two months. I'd like to do the flush right away but don't know if now I need to

wait to eat all the apples first. I don't feel comfortable doing an enema on

myself. Maybe I should wait until after my next colon hydrotherapy? I had a

friend who expelled stones during her 6th colon hydrotherapy but she also was

taking herbs to help eliminate the stones, which cannot be taken during

pregnancy.

3. Is it necessary to do a whole 2 cups of olive oil? Can you do less than this

and still expel stones?

Sheri - do you have a confirmed diagnosis of gallstones? Ie: has an

ultrasound or a gall bladder function test shown that you have stones or a

poorly functioning gallbladder? I'll tell you why I ask when you write

back. -shara

4. Do you experience gallstone like attacks during the time you are waiting

to expel the stones?

5. Why do some people feel like they have the flu after the flushes? Some

say they feel much better right away.

6. My naturopath said I have parasites but I can't find a natural parasite

cleanse that is safe during pregnancy. Anyone know of one? Can I do the

flush without doing a parasite cleanse first? I thought I had read that you

have to do the parasite cleanse first or the flush may not be effective.

7. Once I do the flush, am I going to be able to eat more freely? I will

still eat no red meat and I am GFCF(gluten and dairy free), but I'd love to

be able to eat organic chicken, some soy, chocolate, sugar, occassional

Coke, etc. again and some occassional red meat if possible.

8. After the flush, will I be free of gallstone attacks, or will I still be

just as susceptible if I don't stay on the very restricted diet? My whole

aim is to eliminate the stones and the attacks and be able to eat more

foods. I'm just not getting enough nutrition and enough food while pregnant.

I do exercise and I am not overweight. I am underweight. However, diet,

exercise, supp's are still not preventing attacks. I have choline, Beta

food, disodium phosphate, vit C, prenatals, aloe vera juice, digestive

enzymes, probiotics, liver cleansing teas, chamomile tea, etc. I don't take

all of those all the time b/c I was afraid they were causing the attacks,

but I have them.

9. Has anyone done the flush and not passed stones? Just wondering what the

failure rate was on doing the flush wrong. I'm afraid I'm going to do it

wrong.

I also took Tylenol

and aloe vera juice but not sure if it helped or not. Still lasted over an

hour. I did try drinking apple cider vinegar with apple juice but it just

made me throw up a few times. My dr. prescribed Levbid which helps stop the

gallbladder from contracting but I haven't picked it up yet. I hate to take

anything while pregnant and not sure if it would help or not.

Thanks for reading. If anyone has any answers, I would love to hear them. My

husband's birthday is Saturday so I hate to do it tomorrow night, but maybe

I'll try it Saturday night. I want these stupid stones out one way or

another. I have to think a flush would be less painful than surgery. Thanks

so much for any help.

My MD recommends the books by s Moritz - The amazing liver and

gallbladder flush and the 21st century cures for healing (or something like

that, I don't remember the title off the top of my head). Anyways, there

are step by step instructions to do the flush. I would make sure that your

doctor says its okay to do this while you're pregnant, though! My doc told

me NOT to do any flush for now. (I'm not pregantn but having issues). -shara

Sheri,

this what helps me when I am feeling like I am going to have an attack. I take 1

teaspoon of epsom salt with water (dissolve it in water and drink it) and then

put castor oil hot pack on the right side (liver area) and pain is usually gone

after short period of time. Google " castor oil hot pack " for how to make it.

When you have a problem like this it should be no " I can't take apple cider

vinegar " (btw you should take the organic one, Braggs), or " I can not take so

much oil or epsom salt " . I can take it with water, but it tastes much better if

I take it with fresh made juice.

You should exclude pasta (you eat a lot of it, this is a big trigger for

attack), pancakes, potatoes, just a little multigrain organic bread, no potato

chips, no crackers, for now forget about red meat (believe me you can live

without it, it will be good for the baby too). You can eat fish sometimes (not

fried). Eat salad, make it yourself and use olive oil instead of dressing (you

can add a little bit of dressing to it). I have organic chicken sometimes.

Buy AF Beta tablets by Standard process ( and I told you about it), it

helped me a lot.

Good luck,

herbladie

PS I've never done 2 cups of olive oil, 1/2 c. is plenty :)

Also, my chiro told me once to use suppositories for short term if you can't go

They

did confirm 2 calcified stones via ultrasound but they never told me how big

they were. I'm scheduled for another ultrasound in the next two weeks but I

don't think I want to

wait that long. Hopefully, I can do the flush first and it will confirm that

there are no longer stones. :)

I had a

friend who expelled

stones during her 6th colon hydrotherapy but she also was taking herbs to help

eliminate the stones, which cannot be taken during pregnancy.

3. Is it necessary to do a whole 2 cups of olive oil? Can you do less than this

and still expel stones?

just grow a pair and do the ACV.  ;0)

I tried that once. It didn't work. I just put about 2 TB of ACV in about

4

oz of apple juice and took two drinks of it.

Question: In the experience of those here, after you did one flush, were

you able to eat more freely?

I'm not going to go out and eat fast food every day, but I'd like to be able

to eat chicken and meat again. I know meat may be out of the question, but

don't think I can do without chicken. My problem is, with being pregnant, I

know I am not getting enough nutrition eating this " anti-gallbladder attack "

diet. I know I'm not a good eater, but before I was eating GFCF, Feingold

(no artificials, etc.), mostly organic chicken and beef, rice and potatoes

and fruit and no eggs b/c that's what my kids have to eat. I cooked all the

time, rarely ate out. As for stress - LOL! - I started eating fast food

b/c I was going through a divorce, had no money to buy all our organic food,

and immediately started feeling nauseous and tired, so ate out even more,

found out I was pregnant, had to put the house up for sale, look for a new

house, had just started homeschooling my 9 yo son, have an autistic daughter

who tantrums all the time, have two other sons who are likely ADHD...Stress?

Yes. I can't do the ACV b/c I throw it up. It's not that I'm too wimpy to

do it, just dont' feel like puking. I do have Beta tablets, along with

choline and Disodium phosphate, but they don't " seem " to do anything. Not

sure what they do.

I'm going to talk to a surgeon this week. I may try the flush first, but

with being pregnant, I don't think it's the wisest thing to do. If I

weren't pregnant, I would prob try it. But, I'm only 106 lbs and 20 weeks

pregnant. I'm not gaining too much weight b/c of how I'm eating, and I

don't think I can tweak my diet any more. I hate veggies but I will do the

super green powder drink as soon as it gets here. My midwife makes it from

all organic ingredients. If I did the flush, I would probably faint, most

likely be puking right away. It doesn't sound like doing one flush is going

to do the trick. I don't think I can go through that more than once while

prego. Plus, if it is not going to allow me to eat more foods, I see no

point to it. I don't want to have more attacks, and I really need to be

able to eat more to nourish my baby. I usually nurse for about 2 years so

waiting until after I'm done nursing - that would be in 2 1/2 years. Can't

wait that long. I know I'm taking a risk and I still may have problems. I

might do the flushes after I'm done nursing. I've talked to so many people

who have had their gallbladders out and have had no problems and have gone

back to eating what they always ate. I'm not that naive, but I can't even

think about going on a Disney cruise right now with my whole extended family

b/c I have no idea what I would eat. I don't have constant pain, just

attacks. I'm 33. I know this is probably b/c of years of eating tons of

fast food since I was a kid till I was about 29, then I started eating

better. But, before I lived on fast food - pizza, cheeseburgers and fries,

and ice cream. Then I figured out dairy caused my migraines, and cut out

dairy.

Anyways, I'm just thinking that if I go through with a flush - yes, I would

get rid of stones and probably feel better, but if I'm still going to have

attacks if I don't eat very strictly, what's the point? I'd be in the same

position, but with less stones in me. I don't know. Tell me if I'm wrong.

Sheri~Before you do anything as drastic as getting your gallbladder removed,

you should get s Moritz book on liver/gallbladder cleansing.  It's a

quick read,  and it will at least give you all the info so you can make

an informed decision.  I'm sure many people don't have problems right away,

but over time, and b/c of no gallbladder,  most likely stones will start

building up in the liver.  I won't list all of the eventual side-effects

of not having a gallbladder,  but there are many.  I am doing everything

possible to save mine.

As far as being able to eat more freely with one cleanse,  it's an individual

thing.  I'm sure some have,  but most probably haven't.  Took lots of time to

build up stones, and might take a few cleanses to remove them.  We have a good

support base here,  and I'm very thankful for that. The problem with being

GFCF is that most people eat too many grains, etc., when they should be eating

more live foods.  If you don't like most veggies,  you should at least be

eating the ones like.

I can only do ACV if I mix it with honey,  so I understand.  Good luck to you

regardless of what you decide :)

Question: In the experience of those here, after you did one flush, were

you able to eat more freely?

I have done one flush. No stones. Instead of continuing flushes, I changed

my diet based on www.gallbladderattack.com . Like you, I had extreme gall

bladder pain with my first pregnancy. They did an ultrasound, where they

found no stones, so they did nothing. (Many years later found out that it is

actually non functioning). After changing my diet and losing 20 lbs in a

month (down to 100 lbs and 5'6 " ) I have not had another attack. The surgeon

wanted to take it out and almost 3 years later, I've still got it. I'm back

up to my normal weight. You CAN do this while pregnant. You just need to eat

more than I did. Lots more olive oil. I also was going through a separation

at the time, and was homeschooling my kids as a single mom.

You are having problems right now because of stress and hormonal

fluctuations that cause gall bladder pain during pregnancy. Chances are, as

soon as you have the baby the pain will be gone. Mine was. And I never had

problems during my second pregnancy ten months later. Many of the foods you

listed are horrible for you. Not to mention, they are usually pretty

expensive. Invest instead in fruits and veggies, flax seeds, olive oil, and

things that will help your body as well as your baby. Get some " Natural

Calm " and use it daily. It is a magnesium supplement you drink like a tea. I

can guarantee you are magnesium deficient. I use Bragg's salad dressings,

which so far is the healthiest dressing I've found without making some

myself. Over cucumbers.GREAT for the gall bladder. I was able to tolerate

eggs with no problem. So I would hard boil some, slice them up and mix in

cucumber slices for a cucumber/egg salad. And you can grate some beets over

the top. If you have not visited www.gallbladderattack.com , see the pain

relief solution. I can't remember what it is but it includes boiling flax

seeds. I did this at one point and it really does work. I don't have any

affiliation with the site; just found it very helpful, especially if you

don't want to flush.

I also suggest finding a good 'detox tea' or 'liver tea.' Just go to the tea

section at your health food store and you will find one. Add raw honey to

sweeten, and drink daily. Even if you get your gall bladder out, you MUST

begin eating for health and not for pleasure. If you eat for health, you can

enjoy treats now and then. But if you eat for pleasure, you will continue to

have problems.

What's the deal with the Disney Cruise? If your family gives a rip they

would take your kids with them and let you have some peace and quiet at home

for a few days. Adding a trip into the picture is just more stress.

BTW, I can eat whatever I want now. I eat more dairy than a calf (which I've

come to understand is what a person with adrenal fatigue needs.). We use raw

dairy products and grass fed beef. I bake with olive oil instead of

vegetable oil. Makes a huge difference. Good luck.

Have a blessed day!

it is common not to have stones the first time, that means that the bile ducts

are severely blocked, but the digging has begun to open them with the epsom

salt, keep going to get those many 1,000's of stones out, judy

Here's a flush I did that got rid of pain I had in my right side. I didn't

inspect closely after flushing to see if I got rid of any stones. This seemed to

be the " easiest " flush I came across, although I was woozy the 2nd day, weak the

3rd day, 4th day I was fine. He is a doctor who treats people so hopefully its

effective. Also wonderful information posted by Evie.

Say Goodbye to Gallstones (in 2 days)

http://www.drmccarty.com/gallstones.htm

Needed:

3 Gallons Apple Cider

2- 17 oz bottles of Cold Pressed Olive Oil (Bertolli's is a good brand)

10 Lemons

Sea Salt

Pineapple Juice (maybe, I didn't need it)

Good luck,

Sheri,

Do you know about the Weston A. Price Foundation?

http://westonaprice.org/

If you've never heard of the WAPF, it's a grass roots organization that

advocates the consumption of whole, natural, minimally processed, nutrient dense

traditional foods, especially including those from animals that are NOT factory

farmed, and are instead humanely treated and pasture raised exclusively on

grass.

Here's a link to a video of Sally Fallon Morell, president of the WAPF, giving a

talk about the nutritional value of traditional foods:

http://vimeo.com/10489302

Also, are you familiar with the work of Dr. Natasha McBride?

She's a physician originally from Russia who now lives and practices in the UK

and is doing some amazing work with autistic children. Her own son was

diagnosed at the age of 3 with severe autism, and after doing intensive research

she came up with a nutritional protocol which cured him, and he's now, as a

teenager, totally recovered and no longer autistic.

Here's a link to the first of a 6 videos of her talking about this protocol:

Here's another link to a fascinating video of Dr. C McB. giving a talk last

month in the UK all about nutrition and how it relates to the health of the

digestive system, which is directly connected to the ability of the brain to

function properly:

http://vimeo.com/10507542

This is the link to Dr. McBride's website, which is based on her book

entitled Gut and Psychology Syndrome:

http://www.gapsdiet.com/

From what you've described about your children's behavioral issues, your own

digestive challenges, and your history of eating lots of fast food, it occurred

to me that the information at the links above might be very helpful for both you

and your family.

Donna Gates of BodyEcology.com claims to have tremendous success through diet

for autism. I think that her book is in the 10th edition now. I have her 9th

edition - a very good book.

Yep heavy metals should be treated. Clay baths are actually a powerfully

unrecognized way of getting rid of metals from the body. Magnetic clay is damn

good clay I've tried several and none stack up to Magnetic clay.

Look into australian bush flower remedies for emotional issues. Talk to someone

who sells them. It is extremely effective and powerful but yet safe (similar to

homeopathy). I can only handle 3 drops in water a day.

Heavy metals can impair liver function (testing is not sensitive enough to pick

up most liver dysfunction/damage) and the liver is the main place where anger is

stored. Glutathione production may also be impaired by heavy metal or chemical

toxicity (the liver becomes a saturated filter with all these pollutants) I

would try www.lifewave.com Suzanne Sommers talks about it in her book Knockout.

It increases Glutathione blood levels by 300%. This pales in comparison to what

coffee enemas are capable of doing for the body (they increase Glutathione by

9x) but kids shouldnt have to do enemas nor would they want to in may cases.

The lifewave patches stick onto the surface of the skin, put it on the right

foot on the webbing between the big toe and the toe next to it, that is Lv 3.

here is a picture of the Lv3 point:

http://www.acuxo.com/meridianPictures.asp?point=LR3 & meridian=Liver
