Guest guest
I don't have any advice, but the same thing happened with my mother and I - only it was the MMR. My mother was advised to get the MMR after I was born, she questioned about it passing through her milk, the docs told her it wouldn't, it did, I showed up with Rubela within a couple of days. Margaret, born 1978 DTP through breastmilk I read this list often, even though I do not respond all the time. I feel you all have very good and honest opinions. What do you think of this story of a friend of mine.......Her daughter is a nursing student....her school required her to get a DTP shot. This nursing student is a nursing mother and her concern was that it WOULD NOT get through her breast milk and it did! Baby is very very sick and only after she had got the shot. This is what the friend passed along......Just curious as to what advice I could pass along to her. The nurse that gave her the shot reassured her that the vaccine would not pass to her milk. this is the note. So they do not know. The facts are the mother received a normal adult vaccine. She was told it is safe to do while breast feeding. Her nursing baby got very sick shortly after and has been. She took the child to the doctor but they say she must just have the flu, no other symptoms. She took the baby to her naturalpath/chiroprator/that is also a NAET provider, and during her *exam* muscle testing, the child responded as if she has a toxic dose of DPT in her system. Now as we all know muscle testing is not an exact science, but her body responded. And yes, I know what the doctor says and what the CDS says, but it wouldn't be the first time I have heard where they say something doesn't cross the line to the milk and it did. Either way, if you could keep the family in your prayers. Thanks, Dede
Guest guest
Well, the nurse lied. I don't know which manufacturer was used, but here's the package insert for Adacel: (https://www.vaccineshoppe.com/image.cfm?pi=400-10 & image_type=product_pdf) where it states "It is not known whether Adacel vaccine is excreted in human milk. Because many drugs are excreted in human milk, caution should be exercised when Adacel vaccine is given to a nursing woman." Ditto for Boostrix: (http://us.gsk.com/products/assets/us_boostrix.pdf). I hope the mother pursues holding the nurse accountable, personally and financially. At the very least, this is a huge wakeup call to the mom to the lies that prop up the vaccine industry. Hopefully she'll investigate the issue. Winnie DTP through breastmilkVaccines > I read this list often, even though I do not respond all the > time. I feel you all have very good and honest opinions. Guest guest
She needs to facebook it and tell everyone b/c I hear they are pushing dtap or is it mmr on new moms in the hospital. Luckily they didn’t on me or I would have screamed..but.. EVERYTHING goes through the milk. It doesn’t make sense that it doesn’t. you can’t even take a bottle of vitamins w/o the if you’re a pregnant or nursing mom check with your doctor.. but doctors are really clueless about breastfeeding. I hope that baby is OK Nita, mom to: 18, Jon 17, 14, 12, 10, Christian RIP: 7/16/03-8/22/04, 6, Isaac 3 and , born 3/1/11http://momof6.dotphoto.com for possibly current pictures and http://nitasspot.blogspot.comSomething for everyone: http://www.nitas-things.comIf you have melted chocolate on your hands, you're eating it too slowly! Guest guest
Yes, it is standard here (WA state) to offer new moms the TDaP before leaving the hospital. Guest guest
I will pass this along too, Winnie! I agree with you 100%! I had suggested that she keep a journal of all that she remembered and what doctor/nurse said what. To video tape her baby and speak on the recorder ......document it all.....even if it never gets used. I spoke with the Grandmother today and she just sobbed. I can't believe people make excuses for poisoning themselves and others. Depressing, thanks again!
