Guest guest
Dave, (if you happen to know this) I ordered some sodium ascorbate because my PH level is so acidic I cannot tolerate citrus or ascorbic acid, hoping I could tolerate the sodium ascorbate. However, after getting it in the mail today I read the lable and ingredience as I always do before taking something, and noticed it was simply a combination of sodium bicarbonate and ascorbic acid. I never thought about what it might be until I got it LOL. Now then, a couple years ago Duncan Crow (is he here?) said that taking sodium bicarbonate to help an acid stomach would only make things worse, so of course, my question is----is sodium ascorbate a very good thing to take day after day? I am trying to boost my vitamin C level but just can't tolerate ascorbic acid. I eat a lot of blueberries, pomegranetes, stawberries, rasberries etc.. but don't know if I am getting enough vitamin C that way. Would be good if I could find a form of vitamin C I could tolerate especially during cold and flue season but seems I can't find anything. What foods other than citrus and berries is high in vit. C?
