Guest guest
: Great point. Over the past 2-3 years, I have talked with 18 parents that we are representing in the VICP due to the tragic death of their child due to an " adverse reaction " to pertussis in both the DPT and DTaP. I will never forget those conversations. This " small percentage " does not take any solace from the assumed fact that the DTaP is safe for " most " kids--it clearly wasn't for their child and frankly that is what counts. Guest guest
Another thing I thought of when I read this article was--although I would not wish whooping cough on anyone--which would you prefer...whooping cough or autism(a life long disability)? I know the potential exists for whooping cough to lead to pneumonia and other serious conditions; however, wouldn't you say the chances of someone bouncing back from whooping cough are better than the chances of someone " bouncing back " from autism? The article also expresses grave concern over this whooping cough epidemic as it was referred to, why aren't we seeing this same concern expressed over the autism epidemic over the past decade or more?? Not to mention the many non autism cases, such as what Connie referred to where kids are actually DYING as a result of their vaccinations. What does it take for the medical establishment(you know, all those poor innocent people we saved from all those big bad lawyers by voting yes on Prop 12) and the pharmeceutical industry to see that we need(demand) safer vaccines for our kids!! Then when that happens--we won't have to worry about whooping cough or any more rises in autism rates because we will know it is safe to vaccinate our kids. a Sell FW: Please forward this to Texas Autism Advocacy List > > > > > > Refusal of Vaccination Cited in Whooping Cough Outbreak > > > > > the fatality rate for babies under 6 months is > > less than 1 percent. > > >

Guest guest
Recently saw on Oprah that 90,000 people die every year from infectious germs they caught while in the hospital. Why don't these doctors and nurses who are sooooo worried about our kids getting whooping cough clean out the hospitals?
