Guest guest
Lots of probiotics. That is what we did. You can open a capsule and dip your finger in and let him suck it off too. I think I've also painted my breast purple with GV and that worked too but it is awfully messy. You have to have a nursing pad you can either sacrifice or throw away and maybe even a bra you don't mind. I'm told also wash the bra in hot water. Guest guest
That is a good question. I'm always wondering if I should be using something different. I prefer the ones with multiple strains also. Right now we are using this:http://www.vitacost.com/MegaFood-DailyFoods-MegaFlora#productDetails It is corn and soy free. For the kids I will either open a capsule and poor in their smoothie. I also like a inner-ecco which is a fermented probiotic kefir made from coconut water. http://www.inner-eco.com/index.html LoreleiOn Wed, Feb 22, 2012 at 8:16 PM, Sheri Nakken <vaccinedangers@...> wrote: Just curious how people decide which one's are great? Guest guest
I've used grapefruit seed extract to cure my baby's thrush (a few years ago). It worked great! http://drjaygordon.com/breastfeeding/thrush.html Treatment of thrush with GSE IF thrush is not markedly improved by the second day, increase the mixture to 15, or even 20 drops of GSE per one ounce of distilled water. If after reaching up to at least 20, and a full day of hourly treatment with it, you see no improvement, I would consider using Diflucan. If you are prescribed Diflucan, continue to treat topically with GSE during the course of treatment. If diaper area is affected, put the same strength solution into a spray bottle or swab as above at every diaper change. GSE solution can also be used in laundry or as a surface cleaner to kill yeast hiding and waiting to multiply again. If treatment with GSE seems to leave your nipple area dry, I suggest applying a light coating of Vitamin E oil in the following manner: First apply the GSE solution, allow that to dry or use a hairdryer to dry it completely, then apply a light coating of Vitamin E oil. I would suggest doing this 3 to 4 times a day until the dryness is gone. It should only take a couple of days to show significant improvement. The Vitamin E oil should absorb into the skin thoroughly prior to the nursing following the application. I’m a big fan of Lansinoh, but do not use it when dealing with thrush, because it provides a moisture barrier that is counterproductive to getting rid of thrush. > Vaccinations > From: K05CORNE@...> Date: Wed, 22 Feb 2012 14:43:03 +0000> Subject: ?? Possibly trial and error - I've noticed Complete Probiotics by Dr. Mercola make a difference as does homemade milk kefir (making it with raw milk changed one of my son's gut flora enough that he can now tolerate milk and milk products!). We've tried over a dozen other brands that just didn't make any difference. I've heard of others benefitting from other brands, though, particularly when suffering with stomach issues, we just didn't. > I also wonder how we know what is missing and > needs to be replaced after antibiotics - have had > a hard time figuring out what should be there and what needs to be replaced > Sheri > listowner
Guest guest
There are homeopathic remedies. That's the only thing that worked for my son. It will vary person to person, but the common ones to consider are Borax, Mercurius, Nux Vomica, and Silicea. Still a chance you have it, too, and are passing it to him even if you are just pumping. You may not need the same remedy as your son, either, so keep that in mind. I didn't. If you really don't want to do homeopathy, olive leaf extract worked once for me, and he'd get that from your milk, too. GV didn't do a thing for us, and neither did probiotics on their own. > > In 12mon old he's had clear runny nose but was drooling I saw white patches last night and am anyone know home remedies to cure it? > Sent on the Sprint® Now Network from my BlackBerry® >
Guest guest
I have a friend who is very into this and feels that just as with vitamins in supplements, you can get the probiotics from fermented foods rather than taking probiotics supplements, and to eat them on a regular basis anyway. Here's an article listing them: (http://theconsciouslife.com/top-probiotic-foods.htm) Winnie RE: ?? Thrush> >> >> >Lots of probiotics. That is what we did. Guest guest
I had a lot of trouble with group b strep and my ND put me on a probiotic from Metagenics (ultra flora plus DF capsules) they have 15 billion organisms per a capsule it took about a month but using them along with other things, I have had no issues for 3 years. I can tell if I stop taking them. mary From: "wharrison@..." <wharrison@...>Vaccinations Sent: Thursday, February 23, 2012 10:19 AMSubject: Re: ??
