Guest guest Posted February 4, 2004 Report Share Posted February 4, 2004 Hi Gretchen...thanks for the welcome....no i dont have problems with my feet burning....when i first started wearing splints my feet hurt alot. now they never hurt. my problem is balance and gait...i can trip over a knat! ) and losing dexterity in my hands. i ve never had the genetic test to see which i have. they didnt have that when i was diagnosed...my cmt started around 12 or 13, and has slowly progressed over the yrs...when i was in highschool i still played football and baseball, but was clumsy ; ) and i have played guitar and drums in lots of bands...now i jus play drums....i thought it would be cool to talk to other people with the same problems...u just dont understand unless u have it....anyway, i have read the messages from time to time but havent posted. i figure, what better time than now! ; ) thanks again for the welcome Jimmy Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The mention of Margaret Ayers using the sites--- below O1 and O2 theta down. You mention training SMR with some results. Cz , C3 and C4 from a chart, sensory motor area. Could there be a problem in the cerebellum, which is the system that controls fine motor movements. In the cerebellum is the maintance of equilibrium and posture. Timing of learned skills, and correction of errors during ongoing movements. Recieving its input from Brodman's Area 4 via the pons, structures of the extrapyramidal motor system. Several test, one is the finger to nose test --but if there is a problem, don't do it, because he may poke out his eye, because of uncontrolled force of finger. Another test, Same one that the police use for DUI try walking one foot in front of the other with arms streched out, for balance.
