Guest guest
Jimmy, the groundbreaking first NT-3 human trials were all on persons with CMT 1A. Yes, the question has been raised why not for Type 2? And I have no answer on that now - a study has to be done on people with Type 2 I guess. But the nature of Type 1 is demlyenating, and the nature of Type 2 is axonal. Sonic Hedgehog Protein had great success in human diabetic neuropathy treatment trials. No CMT trials have been done with SHP YET. Now that Curis has a new great partner who is interested in their neurological research, it's time! ~ Gretchen
