I have days that I call flare ups. Occassionally it is weather related, but

not always. I try everything from massaging to heat pads to try and help.

mainly I use meditation to get my mind off the pain. Cathleen

Deb,

I don't think this is what I would call a " flare up " but I have

occassions were I get tremor surges. There have been times I thought

these were for no reason, but in hindsight there was a reason. That

reason mostly being lack of sleep. Or should I say interruption in the

quality of sleep. So, I get back on a regular nap schedule for a few

days and everything is back to status quo.

Deb,

I, too, have flare-ups. Some days I have more pain than others. I feel

that stress or overdoing lifting or even overdoing housework causes the

flare-ups that day or the next day. I have a standing appointment with my

chiropractor. I do not need an appointment. When I'm in pain, I visit him

and he keeps me going.

Flare-ups?

I would like to know if flare-ups are a usual problem with CMT. What

I mean is, is it common to suddenly just all of a sudden have a

terrible day or two where the pain and other symptoms are much worse

for no apparent reason and then decrease again? I would like to hear

from anyone who has experienced this and also would like to hear what

you do about/during it and if you think there is a reason. Thanks so

much ~ I do not know what I would do without having this group to ask

these questions to!
